KERBECK.... $10,000 over sticker
#3
Kerbeck is not discounting that I know of, I would think when 15 comes out they may. I heard they discounted off the non-z51 but I know I paid msrp but I also ordered mine back in July.....

Yes, it's a typo. The MSRP is $75,680 on that second one. I fixed it.
However, we are reworking the site right now. We will be discounting all in stock convertibles $1,000 off MSRP. All in stock coupes are still at MSRP.
On another note, I just had a pre-price increase Z51 coupe become available. 2LT Laguna Blue with Jet Black, manual.
Email me if you are interested.

Wow, guess I should feel pretty damn good about the $2700 discount I got on a Z51 coupe from my local dealer. I've bought 'Vettes from him before and he promised me the first Z51 he could get so I ordered it in mid-March and it was just built last week. Hoping to have it within the next couple of weeks and I'm even happier now knowing that the deal he gave me was pretty great.

Boy, do I feel fortunate. I got my non-Z51 convertible for $2500 under MSRP, it slipped in before the price increase, and my local dealer gave me $7000 more for my trade than one of the big boys offered. Life is good.

Judging by the prices local dealers here in the Seattle area are asking for their new C7's I'm almost certain each of the first-year C7s coming to the area are embedded with relics of The True Cross and priced accordingly.
It will eventually settle down. Some of the people who are paying premium prices in order to be first on their block are those who are unhappy that they can no longer buy a Golden Zimmer or an Excalibur.
Just wondering.... other than say the '63 Stingray Coupe, has there ever been a first year of a new model that anyone bought, but wished they had waited for the later and improved versions?
I think I'm going to wait for the 2015 models, maybe even beyond to see what improvements they make...
Arguments????

- While you're waiting, I'm driving mine.
- In addition to "improvements", they also cut stuff - for example, the under hood light and rear hatch pull down handle removed from later C6's.
- While you are waiting, there will be several more price increases. I paid $2000 under MSRP for my Z51 equipped 2014 and that was pre-increase pricing.
- There will always be changes coming in next year's model. When do you stop waiting and start enjoying?

I am going to wait as well, I am not paying msrp for the car especially after the price increase. I do agree the car compared to imports is cheaper but still its the principal of buying a car while its hot, I am not one of those. I rather take the extra $5000+ and put that towards another car or do something else with it. Granted it would be nice but I am not flush with cash like some others are.
I dealt with Kerbeck twice while looking at vettes a while back but was waiting for the redesign. When the market isn't so hot, they usually are pretty decent with their discounts. I was hoping they would at least shave something off msrp especially being the highest volume dealer out there, so you know they are probably making even more per car then the next guy due to their volume.
I am guessing by 2016 the discounts will start appearing, what do others think?

Out of curiosity, what's the best discount anyone here has gotten on a Z51? So far, I haven't seen a better deal than the $2700 off I got off mine, but I'm sure someone has gotten $3k or possibly even more.

Here is a fairy tale dream...
Dealer sells the car for invoice and gm offers $5000 off all vettes.. Then I woke up.. @%@$#$#

I just find it hard to believe that I would have gotten the best deal in the country right now. Maybe that's the case and if so I feel truly lucky to have a local dealer that's so easy to work with, but I just figured someone here must have gotten more off than I did.

Dave Smith Motors was selling their C7's, including Z51's, for $3,000 under MSRP. After that news got out, their allocations were quickly spoken for.

Probably another example of GM misreading the marketplace. There does seem to be a lot of Z51 convertibles around. Three close to me. Looks like GM forced the dealers to use their Z51 allocations on convertibles, meaning a shortage of Z51 coupes.

[QUOTE=Zymurgy;1586714459]Arguments against waiting:[LIST=1][*]While you're waiting, I'm driving mine.
There's certainly something to be said for that... No argument here.. provided you didn't overpay for the honor of being the coolest guy on the block.
[*]In addition to "improvements", they also cut stuff - for example, the under hood light and rear hatch pull down handle removed from later C6's.
Well, if that's the sort of things that make the early models better than what might follow, I can wait. Indeed, my early '07 C6 has the pull down handle, but thus far, it hasn't earned me any accolades from my peers, nor appears to be as potentially valuable as a radio-delete blanking plate on as '57 at B-J
[*]While you are waiting, there will be several more price increases. I paid $2000 under MSRP for my Z51 equipped 2014 and that was pre-increase pricing.
You're fortunate, to be sure. Given the prices of the apparently rare 2014 models, I'm willing to wait for the price increases, if they really materialize in terms of what the cars can really be bought for. Fair statement though.
[*]There will always be changes coming in next year's model. When do you stop waiting and start enjoying?
I'd say, based on my eventual purchase of a C6, after lusting after C5's for so long. I'd say when the planets align, I find a dealer I like and when I find the right car. In the meantime, i'll enjoy my C6. Might even wear it out. The C6 may not be quite the car the C7 is, but it certainly isn't obsolete and without value.
I have little argument over what you say. There's a lot to be said to be the "First on the Block", even if that isn't your attention. I wouldn't be averse to buying a new one if I could find one for sale with the features I want and without the hassle of trying to pry one away from a dealer I can respect.
Just sayin'
