As a current owner of a 2008 AO I can say with accuracy that this car gets a ton of complements every day.. Looks great all the time especially in sunny Georgia.

A review of end of model year statistics shows that the AO color was selected by 6 to 7% of buyers during the 2007 thru 2011 model year runs.. Inferno Orange replaced AO in 2012 and 2013 and it was not so nice..

I have ordered a C7 and had AO been available that is what I would have ordered again...

Remember when GM dropped Torch Red? Corvette buyers need to let GM know that they want AO and they will get it..

I know there are lots of atomic orange fans, but I love my DSOM and would love to see it back.

I like the limerock green color. I actually like all the colors available on the 2014 model run. These are my top 4

The only buyers remorse I have sometimes is the color I selected. I wanted these combos originally

1. Night race blue with silver interior (NY Yankee car )

2. Lime-rock green with silver interior (Phl. Eagles car)

The Yankees are the family team and yet im the only one who likes the eagles.

Great pictures-Atomic Orange was my first color choice. I was disappointed when they didn't offer it.

Still love my Torch Red though....

Have a 2006 Z06 in DSOM. Hoping they come out with it on the new Z06...my next car. Very popular in Austin

We had one in our neighborhood. It didn't do a thing for me. My wife always called it the "Copper Top Corvette". I guess it reminded her of the Duracell battery copper top.

I haven't seen really any C7s in person, how's the red? There's no metallic in it or anything right? Its a toss up between Laguna blue and torch red. I like metallic blue cause that's my wrx color but that red looks real good and makes the car look almost like a Ferrari haha

IMO, Atomic Orange would look great on the C7. I think LRG will be gone by MY '16. Also, NRB will be gone. Hopefully, one of them will be replaced by AO.

Torch Red has no metallic in it; it's the same Torch Red that was used on C6s. Crystal Red Metallic is also a carryover color.

Does that mean that if there's no burnt orange you won't be buying? Just wondering if you'd be prevented from buying based solely on the absence of a particular color.

The orange in the first pics looks great on the C7 - it would be a color I would seriously consider when I get ready to buy one.

The '05 C6 Coupe in Daytona Sunset Orange Metallic was show at the Philly '04 Auto Show. It was very dramatic, beautiful and so different. I loved it but was not brave enough to buy it so I went for a red.

On the C7 I would have seriously considered the DSOM instead of my LB.
It looks that fantastic.

Edit: And with the old Cashmere Tan interior!

I heard they will offer a new premium paint job for 2016 called Atomic Orange Peel.

Picking up on an earlier theme, IIRC, production numbers for the 2012's showed that the least produced color was IOM. My 2012 GS is IOM, I love it and receive frequent complements about it. I'd be more sorely tempted to buy a C7 sooner rather than later if IOM were available.

Interesting question; It was my first choice for a C6 but could not find one with all the options I wanted so ended up with red (2cd choice). In the case of buying a new C7, I think I will wait and see. When I buy it, it is going to have everything I want. If they don’t come out with one in the next two years, I may just have it custom painted.
