Finally! I did a side-by-side comparison of 2LT / 3LT black interiors

Call me crazy, but I actually prefer the texture of the 2LT "leatherette". In both my C6s, the seat leather has worn to a shiny patina typical of poor quality leather, and I hate that look. 3LT looks like it might do the same after several years of maintaining with saddle soap etc. If you look at a top quality leather hide or a Connolly auto interior where the hide is taken from the first skin layer, it is highly textured like 2LT and it doesn't wear smooth over time. I also think the leatherette will wear better over time. If you want to see true, first quality leathers, look at the DS Vettes stuff.
My problem is that I absolutely LOVE the adrenaline red interior accents, and I think you can only get that with 3LT. It's too bad they don't offer 2LT material with 3LT stitching and color accents.

Bonded leather is more durable because of the vinyl coating. Go to You tube and put in bonded vs full hide leather there is a great video there somewhere.

In the mid eighties when I was with Porsche NA, we decided to offer on option on 911 and above of all leather including dash top. We reversed the decision a few years later when the UV of the southern states caused the dash tops to rip and roll up like a window shade after a year or two of heavy UV. Warranty killed us and the replacement did not match perfectly, as it was new.
I'm more than comfortable with vinyl/ nice plastic on my 2LT dash top....if you have a 3LT, I'd keep a monthly treatment of a UV blocker like 303 on it...

Furthermore, I purchased my C7 with the 3LT option. Do I care if the resale value stinks? No. I will most likely be in this car for three to five years so why be disappointed every time I get into the car? Finally, I find the 2LT/3LT question analogous to a vinyl jacket vs. a leather jacket. I wouldn't consider buying a "fake" leather jacket, so why accept fake leather (vinyl) in my automobiles?

I had the 4LT package in my 2010 Corvette with the leather dash. Four years later (2014) it looked the same as the day I purchased it. Maybe it's because the car was always garaged, or maybe because I live in the Northeast or perhaps a combination of the two. Whatever the reason, I've never read one complaint in the C6 Forum regarding 4LT issues.

Not sure why but the pictures are not coming through... It only has 4 big squares with photobucket on them. When you try and click through it still will not bring you to the picture(s).

same here, please rehost them on something other than photobucket , something like https://imgur.com/ works well, and no bandwidth limits.

Or............If you insist on looking at it that way, then here's the way some of us with 2LT look at you...............We've got a decent leather jacket we paid $300 for and the store you purchased your overpriced leather jacket from saw you coming a mile away and soaked you $800 for arguably a better leather jacket, but one that is really worth only $500.

Good quality cloth would be worth something, more comfortable than any leather in a lot of conditions. I've got a couple of Recaro seats bought in 1987 that are still in good condition after serving in two vehicles (and now are serving as office chairs).

I got 3LT in Kalahari because I always wanted an all-leather interior. I would have preferred a bit less kalahari all over the dash, as the 3LT in red with the black leather dash and red highlights pops. From looking a the photos of the 2015 Z06's it looks like the blue leather in one of the cars has a slightly different pattern for covering the dash (i.e. only the driver's side is colored and the remainder of the dash is black). I don't know if this means the regular C7s will follow this pattern or will continue as was done for the 2014 year.
Either way, i'm happy with what I got, love the full leather (and the smell), and have no regrets in that I see myself seeing the car for many years. If money is not a huge concern I say go with the 3LT.

Interesting way to spin it, but that's not the case and you know it.
I think I made my point loud and clear with my question. The ball is still in Big Dave's court to confirm what I've asked. His silence speaks volumes.
