Just Got Rear-ended
Some old lady ran into the back of my C7. Was sitting at a light with my wife and all the sudden, pow. She never even tried to stop. Luckily there was a sheriff right behind her. He saw the whole thing. She hit me hard enough that it left my plate number imprinted on her front bumper. I can see the back panel is out of alignment and both the upper and lower panels have creases in them. Sucks......

Wow that sucks. I'm about 20 minutes north of you and I always look in my rear view when parked at lights for that reason. The old lady was probably looking in her rear view at the cop when she slammed into you.

Damn, that sucks!
Don't forget to go after her insurance for diminished value due to the repairs showing up on CarFax!

Of the total number of people from the driving age of 16 to over the age of 100, only 20% are over the age of 65, and probably half of those above age 75 don't drive.
That makes you wonder who causes the most wrecks, doesn't it? Is it those between the age of 16 and 64 or those between the age of 65 and 100?

From Consumer Reports (which I hate but they had the data)
They stand at opposite ends of the demographic spectrum. And both groups include many good drivers. But statistics show that overall, teenagers and older drivers are involved in far more crashes and high*way fatalities than any other age group.
Mile for mile, the crash rate for drivers ages 16 and 17, for example, is almost nine times as high as that for middle-aged drivers. People 80 and older are involved in 5.5 times as many fatal crashes per mile driven as middle-*aged drivers.

OP, I am sorry this happened to you. My C6 got hit one month before delivery of my C7 and that was not the way I wanted to spend my last month with it. But, life happens and a good body shop will have your car looking new soon. Best wishes.
