Default 2015 price?

I'm planning to order soon. I'm planning to do a 2014, but I sometimes wonder if I should wait. 2014 prob won't arrive until July. I don't see anything worth waiting on for the 2015 other than the fact that it would be a 2015. I assume 2015 will be more expensive. Has the second year of a new model typically gone up in price?

Yes, it, as well as some if it's best options will see an increase...

Just my opinion, but yes, I think the '15 model will see an increase in price. They've already increased the '14s price recently.

2015 should have a couple new colors (Tiger Shark Gray and maybe Daytona Sunrise Orange - losing Lime Rock Green and Cyber Gray), plus a new display mode and Performance Data Recorder if you opt for Nav. Z06 available later with available Interior color Blue for Z06.
Plus the ongoing continuous improvements.

The price will likely not go down. (my fearless prediction)

A few changes coming on the 2015s:
  • Shark Gray and Daytona Sunrise Orange become available
  • Performance Data Recorder included on all navigation-equipped cars
  • Exterior air intakes and vents optionally available in body color or Shark Gray
  • Atlantic and Pacific Editions
  • A couple of new instrument cluster screens
  • Black wheels available on non-Z51s
  • Machine-faced wheels available on Z51s
  • Z06!

You are high... as demand tapers off and inventory is starting to stack up at the dealers?

By the time the 2015 comes out discounts off msrp will be the norm and you think they will raise the price 5k????

I thought about waiting but I did not wanna be kicking myself for doing so later if there's another price increase. I think if you can order from a dealer that can still get a 2014 you should do so. There's nothing worth waiting for on the 2015 besides the 8 speed auto. I wanted a manual anyway so I put my order in last week.

I waited for the second year on the C6 before I ordered my 2006 coupe and as I recall there was very little difference between the 2005 and 2006 MSRP.

But on the other hand GM's financial situation is different as is the market so maybe GM will be forced to raise the 2015 MSRP.

We'll know soon enough.

Since they increased the price $2,000 mid-year, I would expect to see another $2,000 price increase for the start of 2015.

Only the execs at GM know what the pricing will be. Recent C6 history had the base price go up only a thousand or so each year. That does not mean the C7 will be the same.

I am guessing $1,500.00, but I am sure my crystal ball is no better than yours..

Even if the base were to stay the same for 2015 one might expect that the price on the most popular options would see some type of bump. Lets the general take the same position on price as the airlines, low base with multiple revenue generating fee based options.

The base price will go up. Option prices probably not.

My understanding is many of the flying public are not happy with the multiple revenue generating fee based system. I know it is a reason I drive the one or two thousand miles for trips instead of going by air.

We know that at least 2 options will increase in price by at least $1200, Z51 because NPP will be part of the package and 3LT because PDR will be added to the package. Aside from that, based on what a couple of "corvette specialists" aka salesman have told me is expect a modest $500 increase in base price followed by a $1000-$1500 increase in the October/November timeframe.

The demand for will taper off some but many have waited for the second model yeart and some with '14s that want some of the 15 options will trade up so IMO the '15s wont be easy to get for while like the 14s. Unless another recession hits..

My guess is 1000 base increase and Z51 with the standard NPP will go up 2 grand.

Velocity Yellow & Cyber Grey are going bye bye.
So my 1st Year C3 Stingray is a one year only color (Corvette Copper)
and my 1st Year C7 Stingray is a one year only color (Velocity Yellow)
