Default Blinking C7 tail lights

This may have been covered in another post, but what is the deal with the blinking C7 tail lights? I think this looks so stupid, and it almost looks like you are driving around with an electrical short in tail lights or something similar..

Be careful of the use of the word stupid in this scenario...

The LEDs use Pulse Width Modulation to control brightness. So, they are actually turning on and off very rapidly. The human eye can't see this. However, a video camera captures some frames with the light on and some frames with the light off. Thus, in a video they will look like they are "blinking".

I love the tail light display. The different light presentations with stop, turn signals/hazard warning selected, is really neat. The led backup lights are really profound.

Sounds like it was lower on blinker fluid. The dealerships PDI process must have skipped that step.

Chevy needs to get their act together.

Believe it or not this was a really common question on the videos we did when the c7 first came out.

why the delay for the C7s?? cars have had LED taillights for a LONG time....just not the vette, because the C6 was so far behind the times. what a pos.

Could be the pulse rate is different which causes the frame rate/pulse width frequency issue. And the C6 comparison is ridiculous as LED lights were an aftermarket fit and had to adapt to the existing car's technology. The C7 has no such restriction

Or... the other cars may not employ PWM at all and use a different method to control the brightness of the LEDs...
