Blinking C7 tail lights
This may have been covered in another post, but what is the deal with the blinking C7 tail lights? I think this looks so stupid, and it almost looks like you are driving around with an electrical short in tail lights or something similar..

Be careful of the use of the word stupid in this scenario...

The LEDs use Pulse Width Modulation to control brightness. So, they are actually turning on and off very rapidly. The human eye can't see this. However, a video camera captures some frames with the light on and some frames with the light off. Thus, in a video they will look like they are "blinking".

Please tell me you are just trolling.

I love the tail light display. The different light presentations with stop, turn signals/hazard warning selected, is really neat. The led backup lights are really profound.

Or... the other cars may not employ PWM at all and use a different method to control the brightness of the LEDs...
