What a sad sight to see. Hopefully the owner of the car can get a jack under it to raise the car back up and put another set of wheels on. And it sure would be nice if the police could catch the POS that stole the wheels.

Hope they didn't damage the car. The owner should look for the wheel on craigslist, and take a plain clothed officer with him to the purchase.

Or a lot of money...a set if wheels stolen is a set of wheels stolen no matter what the price.

The sidewall on the C7 is very small and run flats don't flatten all the way, they maintain a good bit of the sidewall by design.

Take the two fronts off first while someone is pushing the back of the car then drop the front of the car and the rears are in the air.

Tilt sensor is very good to have. Hopefully by the time the tilt sensor trips the rocker panels are not broken already. That is the main damage, not the wheels gone.

Good point, but to comment further about our society, it may have been the parents who stole them with their kids

Hey, they are entitled......that C7 owner clearly has too much and needs to share a little......we shouldn't be haters.

BTW, I'd share a 9MM pill If I caught em'

If you loosen the lug nuts and stack up the blocks very tight under the car, then deflating the run-flats will take just enough rigidity out of them so you can slide them away. In theory of course--not that I've ever done this when I liked somebody else's wheels better and nobody was looking ...

We have a lot of people who vote for politicians that let "non-violent criminals" out of jail, like somehow that doesn't hurt people.

All one has to do is just watch the daily news to know thats what goes on all the time in this country. Hopefully his insurance company will pay for it.

Having lived in Miami for a few years, I'd say chances are just as good that some other non-Z51 owner was dissatisfied with his base wheels and paid a couple of his young friends a few bucks to help him upgrade. Not all Corvette owners acquired their money honestly, especially in SoFla.
