Default Was anyone else surprised to not see the turn signals on the HUD?

No, this isn't another "my god the paint is horrid" whining-type threads...

I was so used to seeing the turn signal indicators on my C5's HUD that I was actually worried something was broken when I noticed my Stingray's HUD didn't show the signals. I think this was in part because where I set the steering wheel blocks where they show up on the screen. I actually liked seeing the indication up there, one less thing to "look down" for, since I rarely hear the indicator's "Snapple cap pop" sound when it's going over the stereo or the exhaust.

Just an observation of a minor change Chevrolet made.

I made the same observation a couple of weeks ago here on the forum and was told to "get over it". Like you, I got used to seeing the arrows up on the HUD and as you you point out, the wheel blocks them in most cases, so it would have been very nice to see them in the projected image...

What's funny is that cars don't usually go backwards on well established features/options..

I'm surprised the car even has them. Based on the majority of drivers on the street, including those dispatched to enforce the rules, I rarely see them in use. I thought the stalk on the column was only there to rest a finger tip on.

I had them on my C6 and miss them on my C7. I find myself using the HUD more in the C7 than I did in the C6 because the speedometer is off to the left on the C7

On the C6, I thought the blinkers only showed in certain modes. Maybe it's the same on this car? I'll play with a few cars today to see what I come up with.

I have not seen them on the HUD, what display are they on? I use my signals more on this car then ever to show the exterior light display to other motorest. I am impressed with the C7's exterior lighting system and like the show.

It had been a few years since I had a GM car with HUD until I bought a 2014 ATS and I was surprised its HUD doesn't display turn signals. Not a big deal but I recall them from past GM cars. On the weird side of the ATS setup one of the selectable info displays is a big block letter display that says TURN SIGNAL OFF (or ON), when I first discovered this I thought I had discovered the way to turn on the indicator in the HUD but it literally just reads out the turn signal status. Apparently aimed at the more traditional Cadillac owner

Now that I think about it. You have to be one of the most patient & constrained people in the world.

You deserve free beer for life with that job!

If you use turn signals in Atlanta everyone speeds up to cut you off. So I just duck into the next lane asap works for me. Oh hard of hearing so if not in heads up display I might drive for miles since I don't look at gauges in Atlanta traffic don't won't to rear end someone ducking in in front of me.

On the C6 the directional arrows only show up in Street mode screen on the HUD.
It would definitely be odd if the C7 does not have that in at least one of the HUD screens.

I just got done trying out every mode I could configure and the OP is correct, there are no blinkers to show on the HUD in any setting.
