Default First CF Stingray w/ZF1

32826 a 2014 LRG coupe with RPO ZF1 is home. This is probably the first one on the CF and possibly in the US.

Some teaser photo's as it's close to 100 degrees out and I have been fighting bronchitis and not feeling good.

Big Truck

How do I get in

Easy now

So far so good

Safe and sound

Getting undressed for the big reveal

Ta Da

I received a special inspection before I left BG

Who's Judy

Just as I left the factory

I have many more delivery photos and post delivery photos that I'll post up later.

The glamor shots will have to wait until I'm feeling better and can detail her.

My dealer also installed the Z51 sway bars for me. I drove it 6 miles home and it sits in the garage. I can say this car is everything I had hoped and expected and more. It's going to be a few days before I can set her up, detail her and then get to know her.

But I wanted to get these teaser photo's out of what is most likely the first ZF1 here on the CF. That doesn't happen all that often.

Congrats, gorgeous car! I put the Z51 sways as well, but the real change came when I put the Z51 shocks too.

I have to admit (and maybe I'm just getting older) but in the short ride home and a 45 minute cruise after dinner I thought the FE1 was more stiff than my last 3 Vette's (a 03 Z06, 06 Z51 and 07 Z06). Odd and I'm more convinced than ever that I made the right decision to stay with the FE1.

Maybe check the tire pressures. Since the FE1 is supposed to be the softest C7 suspension, it should not be riding harder than those previous vettes you had, with their well known firm suspensions. My stock 08Z rode like a lumber truck on all but mainly smooth roads, which had the same suspension as your 07Z. Incidentally, those silver ZF1/Z51 wheels look really nice with the green/kalahari combo.

Your going to have a very rare car..the ZF1 and the green. I'll bet there will not be five 2014's with that combination. Heck I'll bet less., maybe two.

PS. How did it get so many miles?

The special GM QC team randomly grabs a car and a team of 5 QC inspectors go over the car from top to bottom. I'm sure someone with more knowledge of this procedure will chime in.

I wish I was feeling better, I told the dealer not to detail my car, I was going to do it. With the 24 miles the QC team put on my car it needs to be cleaned. Even with it sitting in the garage EVERYTIME I see a freshly detailed LRG Stingray I marvel how special they are.

Car looks great good luck with it......I am sure the stiffness you report is much from the z51 sways....most report a very compliant ride with a base car....you will love it

ZF1 isn't priced all that bad considering just the spoiler is over a $500 option. It wouldn't be easy to find an aftermarket set of forged wheels of OEM quality for $1400-$1500.

As far a ride quality, there isn't much rubber between the rim and the road with those 19/20's. I have no complaints with the ride of my car in Tour mode, but I do have Mag ride. Track mode in my car does ride pretty rough.
