It is exactly as you say an attention getter! On the other hand that is why I ordered the more conservative SG as no longer want the attention. Beautiful car!

BMADDEN: I really like the looks of your Torch Red C7 Coupe I know I'm probably in the minority, but I think the standard painted Z51 wheels look super sharp on your car, and they would be my wheels of choice on my new C7.....unless I felt like spending an extra $1,500 on the 2015 Machine Wheels

....unless you REALLY want attention. I've had this thing for a little under 3 months now and I've never seen people go as crazy over a car as they do for my new C7. I've had a lot of nice luxury and sports cars over the years(including an AMG SL55 convertible and 6 Corvettes), but none of them have ever caused people to hang out of other cars taking pictures and I've had more people complimenting it at stop lights than all my other cars combined. Just yesterday I had a guy on a chopper who looked like an extra on Sons of Anarchy pull up next to me and give me a big smile only to reveal he only had about half his teeth.

Oddly enough, I've yet to see a Torch Red C7 on the road in Canada, but I've seen every other color except NRB. Most C7s I've spotted have been black. And whenever I look through the Auto Trader at used C7s there are very very few Torch Reds for sale.

I haven't gotten my C7, yet. But when I do I know the attention it brings will be something I'll greatly enjoy. And I'll be courteous to every single inquiring mind. I don't think any of us drive such a magnificent looking automobile to be inconspicuous.

Very true some may say they don't want the attention but deep down inside I don't many buy a Vette and not want to be seen.

I even had an 80 year old grandmother in the back seat of the car next to me at a red light yell out the window - "hey that's a beautiful car!!"
Sometimes I see people in my peripheral vision while at a red light. I can't hear them because the radio is too loud. I can tell they are trying to get my attention, to say something about the car or ask a question. I almost always lower the radio, look their way and reply.

Last weekend my wife and I drove the TR Vert (top up) over the mountains to a local farm stand to get some fresh apples. Came out of the stand and there must of been about twenty or so people standing around the Corvette, many taking photos, having family members pose with the car. It was unreal. I felt guilty getting into the car and driving away, as I looked in the rear view mirror and saw them all standing there just looking at me drive away, strange...... but love that TR/Z-51/Vert....with black wheels...

I agree there is something about RED sports or muscle cars that really make them stand out to people of all ages..Oh and the cops!!
