Garage Car Lift - QuickJack BL-5000

I redid the rear drive line and driveshaft on my 72 this winter.
It's tight and I'm not a large person. (5'9" - 180) .
When I did the 71 - a complete rebuild I used 6 ton HF jack stands as I did not have the Quick Lift. The jack stands gave me an additional 4" of clearance.
4" does not sound like a lot but is made a huge difference.
When I do work on the 85 this summer I'm ordering the SUV spacers to get extra lift. I'll lilt the car, lower it and put the SUV spacers in and lift it again.
It is a great item and solid with the car on it.
Just wish for an extra 4" to 6" of lift.
Also my 85 will not cleat the lift unless I drive onto 2 - 12X12X2 blocks under the wheels. It's lowered.

Just wanted to thank all the contributors that answered my questions on this thread. I got a 7000 last week and got to use it for the first time this weekend.
I used small moving men https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000SL3SEQ and placed four on the bottom of each jack one in each corner. Made it a bit easier to slide into position. I ended up storing them under the parked car and I placed some heavy duty tarp over them so rain dripping off the car should not be a problem.
I wish I had gotten these years ago!!! If you are garage poor and do not have room for a four post lift, this is the ticket! Worth every cent.

Installed one in each "corner" of the bottom of each jack. Does seem to help push it around a bit easier and I don't fear the powder coating wearing off.
They are kind of small, but I could not find ones that were larger that were self adheasive. I used them once and they have held up and did not crack or get smashed. Did not seem to effect the 7000. One set for each jack.

Interesting. I was thinking about the SUV/Truck kit. 4x4 wood blocks might work, and I can cut a set for pinch welds. Just not sure how safe those would be. Might the wood crack?
Also for some reason, when they shipped mine out, they included two sets of rubber blocks to me for some reason. Maybe I cut cut slits into the second set.
Any discount codes out there? I was a bit miffed that after I received mine, I saw a TV ad that gave $100 of for mentioning the TV ad when you call in to order.

I've used the 4x4s on wife's and brother's *** cars, not tried the weight of a SUV or Truck. I didn't cut a groove and have not had any issues with the wood splitting.

Every time I put my C5Z up I give it a good shove on both the lower setting and then the higher. Im not usually silly about products, but I love this thing. It is extremely stable, but I always also put jack stands under it, just in case someone wants to collect insurance money. That would be a bad way to go.
