I have the base 1LT seats. I find them much more supportive than the C6 seats. With no adjustable lumbar, the standard seat back feels better on my lower back than any other Corvette seats I've experienced. At 5' 8" 170 lbs I've spent up to 12-13 hrs at a time traveling and never experienced any discomfort.

I'm 5' 8" and 188 lbs. The seats dig into my left thigh. Worst aspect of the car for me.

I had the exact same problem (I am 5'11" and 205). So I took it to an auto/boat upholstery shop. They removed the driver's seat, cut a piece off of the hard foam in the left and right bolsters and replaced it with softer foam. Took care of the discomfort completely. Best CDN$300.00 I have ever spent.

I'm 5'7 and 150. The seats are very comfortable for me, except when I try to put my left food on the dead pedal. Then my thigh hits the bolster like you are talking about.

Girlfriend is my height but weighs under 100lbs. She thinks the competition seats are the most comfortable car seats ever.

My sentiments exactly. Same height and weight. Guess my butt is too boney. LOL

Seats are just okay in my view. (5'10", 185). While I love my Vette, I much prefer the seats in my 335i (sport seat) & 550i (best seats my butt has ever been in on long drives)

Reasons I love my Vette: too numerous to list here.

Default Diggin in

Although the seats are comfortable for the most part, the bolsters do seem to dig in to the side of my thighs about where my pockets are. Also, I haven't found the right for me seat position yet, especially on long drives. I keep readjusting forward, back, up, down.

Yeah, but your not going to see 185 MPH unless you have a caged race car, unless you're at Bonneville. Even in a flying mile with 650 HP your maybe getting to the 180's.

I've got a 560 RWHP C6Z06 and max at Road America (pretty long straights) your max at 170.

I do agree that the standard C7 seats are narrow. I think they are Porsche quality seats but less comfortable than my C5 or C6.

Race seats in the Z06 that have a 2" pad in the fiberglass seat...even at 170 you don't think about comfort, your intent is correct but a big difference between 170 and 185.

The seat backs are one of the most comfortable I've ever had in a car, and the seat bottoms are one of the most uncomfortable. I'm fairly overweight but even when I was a gym rat I had 36" thighs, with my wide frame (weight definitely does not help) the bottom bolsters dig into my legs.

I agree that the seat backs are great, but the seat bottoms with those hard bolsters (edges of seat) are horrible. I use the Travel Lite seat from Relax The Back store which is a contoured tempurpedic type seat insert to add padding that really improves the comfort. Maybe the best solution may be taking it to an upholstery shop and have them replace the foam in the bolsters with softer foam as others have done.

I am 6'3" 245 and have no issues with the seat comfort itself. My fear is that in an accident I have getting whiplash or worse. The set back is very low.

My only complaint with the seats is that I wish they had a bit more support under my right leg which on long drives starts to ache. If I occasionally use the cruise control & move that leg a little it's okay. It's probably not the seats as much as me. Just saying!

Default Update on c7 seat comfort

I’m new to forum, just got 2019 GS, first corvette. Love it but seat is not as comfortable as I would like. I was reading post about seat comfort, thread began in 2014, one guy even drilled holes in bottom bolsters foam. My complaint is like others the bottom bolster puts pressure on the back of my thigh making me uncomfortable on longer rides. My question is have the bottom bolsters softened over time? Any updates from those who participated in 2014 discussion. Thanks in advance.

I bought one of these seat cushions that raises you up about an inch and relieves the pressure on your thigh. Has worked for me and others.

I had custom a custom cushion made but I think I might try the amazon one. I may need hip replacement so that could be why my left leg hurts.

I suspect my left side bottom bolster has softened a bit over the last five years, but that is likely because of the way I get in and out of the car. Because I have long legs, I sit on the bolster and swing my legs in and out. Then again, I can't remember finding the bolster uncomfortable and if it was I worked on adjusting the seat to find the most comfortable position. Assuming you have done that, you probably don't want to wait five years for the bolster to soften - I would consider the seat cushion others have mentioned.

One other trick there is a bar the seat cushion fastens too on drivers side next too door. People have used a 5/16 I think wrench to push this bar down I’ve done this also along with cushion for relief. There is a thread with pics showing how to bend bar.
