The seats are comfortable....for the non lard butt people! Some people need to admit they are fat slobs and stop blaming the seats.

By the way, I've spent some time in C6 seats myself and I found them to be quite comfortable...but that's just me, and I was just riding around, not tracking the car or anything.
Pot, meet kettle. Most people agree that the C7's seats are a major improvement. You think they are not because you don't fit in them.

How 'bout a little less conversation and a lot more action.

What are some decent aftermarket/replacement seat alternatives if one wanted to go that route?

I never had a problem fitting in any corvette, sometimes it pays to be small and skinny.

BTW I love the seats in my new corvette

I have the Competition Sport Bucket Seats. I am 6 2 220lp, wear a 44 long suit size, and I find them to be a little tight, not in the hips but on the sides of the chest. However, not bad enough to wish I had the normal seats.

LOL...It seems this wouldn't be the C7 forum if there weren't endless things to complain about (by more than a few)..

The seats were designed for boy racers who couldn't brace there selves properly
That's what happens when you listen to one side to long mag writers are also to blame. Most people drive them on the street not track. My 5/2 wife thinks her side is to small and loss of luggage space is her other issue. Oh I have a 2015 z51 mn7 so I have my member card this is vett #30. So I'm not a Johnny come lately.

These seats are an improvement over the C6. Can they be better? You bet. At 6'2, 240, I fit fine. I just have a slight issue with the left thigh bolster being too firm. Over time, the leather will soften and maybe the annoyance will go away. Who knows, if I play with the seat adjust options enough, I might find that "Sweet spot."

Really helpful. For your info I am in great shape, I run several times a week and work out and my legs and thighs are all muscle. In the Army nearly 31 years now and always on the go. The bottom bolsters are poorly designed, they push against the thigh instead of cradling them. I've had 12 vettes from c2, c3, c4, c6 and now c7. The back part in the c7 is the best of them all, the bottom bolsters not. Look at any high end sports car and the seats cradle the driver, they don't push against them. The seating area is narrower than any leading sports car and the bolsters are curved outward against the thighs instead of inward to cradle them. My recaros in my 2014 Shelby GT 500 were perfect. That's the only complaint I have on the c7, the bottom bolsters, other than that I love the car in every way.

Not to drift here but, my favorite seats were the 94-96 sport seats.

Did anyone own one of these back in the day?

I did. I had a 94 and a 96 Collector Edition, both with sport seats. I agree, those were some great seats.

For you. You do realize, don't you, that the C7 owner group is comprised of people of many different sizes and shapes? And, that some of those people are not having the "dream" experience with the seats that you are? Please say that you understand that...

I have no idea whether I fit in them or not. The thread was started by an owner who doesn't fit in them, and judging by the responses, there are at least some other uncomfortable owners out there as well. None of them have said anything against owners who are happy with their seats, so I'm wondering why they're being told that they are wrong, or out of shape whiners, etc., when they're just people who are having a different experience than those who are satisfied.

This was the gist of my original post here. I love the sport seats in my C4 GS coupe and, though I don't remember any complaints about them, if someone chimes in that they think my seats suck, I'll assume that they mean for them, not for everyone.

Apparently, that's true for C7 seats as well. They're just not going to be for everybody. That's an unfortunate fact...unfortunate because some people are finding this out only after they've purchased a car. And then, adding insult to injury, when those people say something on this forum, they get their necks stepped on. Of course, a lot of people with C7 complaints have received the same treatment here. While there are lots of eyes-wide-open, normal people who've purchased C7s, the almost-religious fervor exhibited by many owners and "wanna-be" types can actually get a little creepy at times...with complaints, both large and small, often being treated as though they were an attack on a religion. "The Faithful", indeed...

But instead I'm sitting on top of the side bottom bolsters so it feels odd. Perhaps I'm wider than most in the hips. Don't know. Never had the issue in Mustangs or any other car but this interior is much tighter than any I've had before.
Ditto. I have 4400 miles on mine and starting to notice the seat issue more and more. Maybe Chevrolet will listen and offer a wider seat bottom. Maybe. . . .

I am 5'9" and 290 lbs and decreasing. I tried both seat types at Carlisle this year. I ordered
my 2015 Z-51 with the base seats. Both felt fine to me, I just decided to save the $$. My recently departed C5 had the sport seats, which I loved.
