Seats too narrow for me - how about you?
The C7 is my first corvette and I LOVE it! So this is just a small issue but wondering if it's just me.
I'm 6' 2" tall and 200 lbs. and I find the seat bolsters too narrow (NOT the seat backs - the seat bottoms - I know the seat back bolsters are adjustable and they're great. I'm talking about the part you SIT on).
I have longish legs so when I sit, my legs are slightly bent up and slightly splayed out left and right. It feels like the left and right seat bolsters are digging into the bottom of my legs after a while.
The back bolster adjustment doesn't seem to affect the seats - only the back left/right bolsters wider/narrower. It doesn't make the bottom part of the seat bolsters more wide open (flatter).
Anyone else feel this?
Thanks,
Raym

I didn't notice it in the first couple of months but now 6 months in, 5,000 miles on it, I'm starting to feel it. They hit right in the center of my thigh underneath. It's like they need to be about 4 inches wider to actually fit my butt INTO the seat with the bolsters pressing on the sides of my thigh. But instead I'm sitting on top of the side bottom bolsters so it feels odd. Perhaps I'm wider than most in the hips. Don't know. Never had the issue in Mustangs or any other car but this interior is much tighter than any I've had before.

I had a hamstring injury, the first 300 miles that I drove my C7 were in pain. The seat bottom dug into my thigh and really hurt, especially when I operated the clutch. Seat feels good now, I understand where you are coming from, seat bottom could be improved.

Raym; you didn't identify the seat type in your C7; base or competition seats?
I intentionally went with base seats, as in the past the "racing" style seemed to be too snug for non-roadcourse me

I came from a 2006 Pontiac GTO which had bucket seats as comfortable as a Barca Loungerr, but they had bolsters big enough to keep you from moving around. Really, they were the best feature of a great (under-rated) car. The Aussies are big dudes.
When I first got my C7 the seats seemed a little tight, but after a while I got used to them. The bottom bolsters flatten out with seat time. I was out in it today and the seats feel like a perfect fit.

In 8 months of ownership I have yet to find a comfortable seating position and am constantly fiddling with adjustments in my sport/gt seat. Never had this issue with any other car I have owned and I have always upgraded to sport seats (if available) in my other cars. The seat bottom "wings" are a real pain especially when I have keys and wallet in my side pockets even when the bolsters are fully deflated. I am 5"10, under 180 lbs. Seat back bolsters are no problems. Much improved interior than previous Vettes, but IMO, theses seats still lag behind the German performance vehicles even though they have the same seat supplier in a lot of the cases (OEM seat supplier is Lear).

Last year at this time there was no way I would have considered the Comp seats, but since then I lost 140lbs, yep 140lbs. I am 6 foot 1 inch, now weight 182lbs and the seats are PERFECT. We also own a BMW 335i with stock buckets seats, and the comp seats are so much better for lateral and back support....We love the comp seats so much better than the stock seats....no problem here.

I'm 6'4 230 and they are OK, I do have to squirm around a but to get my rear 'centered' or the LH bolster is in my thigh.
Seat bottom could have been a bit wider, I wouldnt complain if they were..

I took museum delivery of my vert back in December. As I was driving back to Florida, this was the first thing that caught my attention. The seat bottom bolsters seem to be hitting me in the back of the thigh. My first thought was why would they make the seat bottom more narrow than my '04 Z06 seat bottom. When I got home I actually measured the width of the seat bottom of my C7 verses my Z06 and found that the C7 was about 1/2 inch wider than the Z. Then I noticed that the height of the seat bolsters on the C7 were taller and obviously firmer than my C5. I can only assume the design is to keep my *** in the center of the seat cushion. Actually, now that I have had the car for almost 8 months, I have gotten used to the bolsters. I didn't say I like them, just got used to them.

OP, I am proportioned almost exactly as you are. I find the seats and the bolstering just about perfect. The overall form for the seats conforms to my shape very well. All that having been said, my seat is full-down, full-back, bolsters wide open, slight recline. I would not change anything but as you can see, I am at the limit.
