Default FACTS! 2015 Z06 Order Update from GM

Well we are excited at all the inquiries for the all New Stingray Corvette,(still and its a year later) with 2015’s being order, there are a lot of questions, one being “What is covered/applied on the WA8 Clear Protective Film?” No worries, as GM is dropping this option before it is even launched for 2015 Corvette

HOT NEWS!!!!
2015 Z06 ORDER GUIDE / Z06 PRICING / Z06 ALLCOATIONS / ORDER UPDATE
Continue
Other updates with 2015 ordering for the up coming cycles, the roof delays and demands are making it difficult at times to order what you want.

Here are the facts on current 2015 orders
STANDARD PAINTED CARBON FIBER ROOF 35% availability
VISIBLE CARBON FIBER- 20% availability
TRANSPARENT ROOF – no availability issues
DUAL ROOF PACKAGE – NOT available at all

Current Constraints
Z51 Suspension
FAY Carbon Fiber Dash

Those are items are available, just in controlled quantities against available allocation, don’t let your dealer use this an excuse

The New AT1 Atlantic Package expected, Mid September ordering

The CFZ Ground effects package and the PFI Pacific package are most likely a couple months delay still….

SEE THE ATLANTIC AND PACFIC PACKAGES via link below….

OK , THE LONG AWAITED 2015 Z06 ORDERING UPDATE!
Now we have specifics and appears to be moving faster than we thought.

Z06 ORDERED GUIDE – RELEASE AUGUST 18th ( I will post)

Z06 PRICING AUGUST 28th – (Press will have base price August 21st)

FIRST ORDER CYCLE SEPTEMBER 16th

GM tells us allocations will be based on past Stingray sales, which should be us in a great position for availability, BASED ON THEIR INTENDED PRODUCTION GOALS. Allocation number given August 28th

Now at this point, we are still not securing allocations until we see this number and we will, contact everyone on our email list over the past year and a half….thank-you everyone for understanding, giving us an opportunity to once again be a part of history and thank-you GM for making such a car to be sought after….Rick Conti

you would have to check with your dealer, but I would assume so it would be dropped

This explains the TPW delays members were experiencing who ordered the WA8 option. GM was having issues with the product.

Thank you so much for posting this information!

Does this mean the orange is off constraint. I don't see it on your list

Good stuff rick... Anywhere we can confirm these dates? What do you think the allocation break down will be for Z06? (1) - Z06 for every (10) Stingrays sold ????

no formula was given....they did mention "some time during 2015 model run" every Stingray dealer would receive at least 1 Z06

Hey Rick,
So, "Based on their intended production goals"....

Are you able (or allowed) to tell us what the "production goals" are for the Z06/Z06 Convertible?

If not, no problem. Thanks, as always, for your information.

Jimmy

Um, this one doesn't take a crystal ball. There are constraint problems building Stingrays every week with items as mundane as standard roof panels.

Thanks for the info.

One negative...GM still can't fully supply some of the options they already offer and they're introducing new ones? Get the current constraints sorted out before creating new ordering problems. It's very frustrating for potential buyers.

It's the inevitable nature of 'just in time' manufacturing.

My 2013 Jeep GC Summit build was delayed 3 or 4 weeks because of a constraint on that particular radio/nav system.

I'm guessing it's even worse for Stringrays and especially the Z06 because so many of the parts are very specialized items with limited production. Big difference between the parts that make up the Z51 MRSC and the suspension system of a Chevy Cruz.

Yeah, even the Cruze as well as other Chevy vehicles will have constraints from time to time but such go unnoticed because dealers order what they can get so they have stock on hand, because for the most part, if they don't got it they can't sell it. Corvette is the exception to prove the rule: can anyone imagine the typical Cruze buyer waiting multiple months to get exactly what they want?
