Drive home from Museum Delivery
For those taking Museum Delivery, do you plan to install a bra to protect it on the drive home? If so, what brand? Or will you use some other product?
I had ordered the WA8 option to accomplish this, but now that option is no longer available, I wanted to know what others were planning to do?
Last year, I purchased a new Camaro and during the ride home a large rock flew off a truck, which I was passing and struck the hood and bounced up on the windshield and left a large chip directly in my line of vision. So the hood and windshield were both damaged and the car was virtually brand new. This is why I originally ordered the WA8 option on the Corvette.
I do not want this happening to my new Corvette and I have a long drive home.

Painters tape. Cheap and easy to do....

There's a couple of vendors here that offer front bras for the C7. Check the Vendor section and enjoy your new Vette. They're awesome.

I had Xpel installed at the museum before delivery. That service may have been discontinued, but I'm sure there is someone local in the BG area that does it. Check at xpel.com

Did a quick check. RPI offers a nice looking bra for the C7.

I ordered a bra with my car and they installed it at the museum for me, It saved me on the trip back to AZ a couple of times. I have since removed it and stashed it away and will use it for long trips

Every new car I have bought, I break the engine in slowly. For the first 500 miles, I never drive the same speed for any length of time. When you guys get a museum delivery then drive a long distance, don't you worry about the break in period?

Changed the oil and filter when I got home, it was in very good condition, no particulates in the filter (I cut it open) and didn't use a measurable amount over the first 1100 miles.
Oh, and I didn't bother with any bras. plastic or wraps, just treated it like a normal sports car. None the worse for wear, no nicks, scratches or issues. I'll continue to drive it like this for the remaining time I own it. Wraps are for your grandmother's sofa though the Novistratch cover is interesting for longer trips, especially with a lot of interstate. Not so much for protection but to make cleanup easier.

Cliff notes: Nope.. vary speed and follow what the OM says about the break-in period
(and I STILL say the OP's cheapest and best option is painters tape )

I'd stay an extra couple days for these basic mods.
Surely such a shop exists?

Yes it stands up.....do you really think they would make it so it would not? Ask Steven bell about his trip to Bloomington, I don't recommend stuff I have not owned and used....

Guys, I have the sam Novitec bra that Glen has. I drove 860 miles with it on my C7-it's outstanding! No problems, no issues....EASY installation. Perfect for what you want.
A couple of our Vendors carry this item.
