GM Credit Union Discount
Have any of you actually gotten the C/U discount?
I understand that a dealer can choose not to participate, but my salesman tells me that GM is not allowing discount on C7s.
Any info appreciated.

I am in the works with Thoroughbred Chevrolet in Phoenix to order a Velocity Yellow Z51 and they are honoring all GM approved discounts that you are eligible for including employee pricing.

Yup, easy peasy. Saved me a big chunk of change. And what's funny I was entitled to the Military Discount as well.
But remember dealers are not obligated to accept/honor these discounts. So you have find a dealer with allocations willing to accept the discount.

I have my order in through Les Stanford,, MI. I was just going to pay cash. Can you get a better discount through a CU.?? I thought cash was king. I don't belong to a CU, but I'll sign up if there substantial savings.

It doesn't matter how you pay, the CU/Military/Supplier discount chops several thousand dollars off the MSRP. Are you getting that kind of discount with your deal? If not you are paying TOO MUCH.

Cash is king but I would get your discount applied and then pay cash for the rest

Run away from that dealer. Either your salesman is ignorant (best case) or is outright lying to you (more likely case). Regardless, do you really want to do business with them?

A copy of the loan document used to purchase the vehicle, current statement or membership card from a participating credit union will be required as proof of eligibility at the dealership. Not available with some other offers. See dealer for details. Discount is available to members no matter where they finance their purchase.

I'm in your neck of the woods. I signed up with PenFed (Pentagon Federal Credit Union). You can literally open an account online for $5 in 10 minutes.

Interesting, I tried registering on the GM web site and they wanted a company code,so I called GE Credit Union and they had no idea what I was talking about, so I'll try PenFed, Thanks

It seems to come out to about 8-9 percent off depending on your order. I believe more is subtracted from options than the base cost of the car. For me it was about 6k off. You can do the build and price on a 2014 at https://www.mygmdiscount.com for a close approximation.

Came out to about $5600 off MSRP for me on a 2lt non-z51. Options I ordered resulting in higher price are paint upgrade fee (Laguna blue), black wheels, performance exhaust, and transparent roof.
