To each his own, but not my style. The red exhaust area LEDs might make an interesting auxiliary brake light, though, if wire to the brakes instead of the side markers.

Ease of Installation of LED Lighting Effect systems
I would like to hear from folks that actually installed these LED lighting systems and get their experience on how hard was it, is it really a DYI project, can multiple systems (e.g. Hood, Cove, Rear, etc.) be controlled from one remote, etc.
Also interesting on which brand and where did you get the best price and support?
I really want to do this with my new 2016 Z51 NRB. I'm taking delivery next week at Kerbeck! Can't wait, hope the weather stays like it is now in the NE, warm and sunny!... I leave in Pittsburgh and plan to drive it back from Atlantic City next Friday...
Look forward to seeing posts with pics on this topic...

This kit is pre-wired to tap into the rear side markers so they will come on when the marker or headlights are on. They can also be wired into our C7 Corvette fender cove and hood scoop kit if you want to control them wirelessly. Purchase our under car wiring kit if you want to wire them to the cove lighting kit. This is a great option for car shows or cruise in's. This kit will illuminate the vents on each side of the taillights and the vents on the lower rear fascia and also includes a exhaust area lighting kit. Select from our many colors but RED or Yellow/Amber may be the only legal colors. Check the laws in your state. If you want to use other colors we recommend using our fender cove remote controlled kits to run this kit so you can turn them on or off when wanted.

(2) waterproof led strips per side with a total of 54 superbright leds.
(1) exhaust led kit with 24 bright waterproof leds.

You can select from 2 brightness levels. Bright for a nice glow or Superbright for those who want the most light available. Installation takes about an hour.
