Default Radar detectors

There are numerous threads concerning radar detectors with a lot of useful information and this is probably covered in one of them. But, just in case here is a link to state and province (Canada) statutes and regulations regarding them and their use.

I have been attempting to find a mount for my Escort Solo for my C7's and mini's rearview mirrors that makes it less conspicuous, but to-date have not been able to find one that really works well and somewhat conceals it.

I use the Escort Passport 9500ix and a Blendmount. Perfect for the C7

And yea... Virginia is the only State to prohibit their use outright

If one feels a need to use a radar detector in Virginia, the way to go is the Escort Redline as it is undetectible, due to the horn it uses (M3).

Plus a band segmented Redline is pretty much unbeatable in long range, and off axis detection.

Not a state, but DC prohibits them, as well.

Haven't seen much of a need to use radar detectors over the last 35 years. I got two speeding tickets 4+ years ago. One was by a speed detection device used in PA that detects your speed by using light beams across the road the other was by a sheriff in NY with instant on radar that was aimed away from me when I saw him and then got me as I went past him while slowing down. Prior to that my previous ticket was 16 years before and the next previous one was about 20 years before that. Just don't get caught speeding that often and I don't spare the horses.
