Ha, Ha. The fob had a ring attached with some keys on it. I didn't ask what they were for.
Wasn't a trade-in issue. I was planning on keeping the Z.
I never said the Z would outperform the C7, just that it would easily keep up when the C7 was being driven like I normally drive. I never got over 65mph or over 2500rpms. Heck, my wife could have easily kept up in her Accord.
I don't think the salesman was unhappy. From our previous discussion, he knew I'd done quite a bit of research on the C7 and that I knew a lot about its various features and options. All I lacked was some seat time to seal the deal, but it didn't work out. That's what test drives are for. It's not like I took it on a hell-raisin' joy ride on a whim, knowing I had no intention or money to buy it.
I'm actually disappointed that I didn't just fall in love with the car. That would have been a lot more fun.

Why is it that someone cannot give their opinion on a C7 without getting ridiculed if they don't like it. No wonder the C7 forum is getting the title of the most obnoxious section of the forum.

I couldn't care less what the OP's opinion is; that's why there are so many different cars.
What I don't understand is that he is surprised it is noisy and has a firm ride. He claims he did his research. Cleary he didn't.

I for one, am not surprised that the OP didn't buy the car. Most Corvette "people" do not need a test drive because we are going to buy the car. My C7 has 450 foot pounds of torque which means the transmission does not have to "search". It just hauls *** in any gear. Another reason I don't take the OP seriously.. Just my opinion , of course.

Actually if you have to ask you obviously don't know. But I'll give you a clue there are many places Corvette people gather. This Forum is one of those places. If they were not why would they be here? Oh maybe to lurk or troll? Naw..
