According to a quick data sample from this forum there is not one but multiple problems:

1. It has too many gears
2. It has too few gears
3. It isn't a DCT
4. It isn't a manual
5. It costs more than a manual
6. and with this forum new gripes are being created faster than baby rabbits.

Stay tuned for future updates... OR better yet just order one and enjoy it.

Good catch Mike

Since it will also be used in truck/SUV applications it WILL be ready for AWD capability when that mid-engine model arrives.

GM put a hold on the A8 because it beat the A6 by too big of a margin in the 1/4 mile. They had to reprogram the TQ management...

Not to disappoint, let me offer an observation. There were noticeable GM Team" no shows" at the GM Engineering Tent and Autograph Booth on Friday at Corvettes at Carlisle, including Tadge Juechter and Powertrain Engineers. There were a number of lower level GM Staff there who were in abundance to take up the slack. This Show is typically a not to miss event for top GM Staff every year. Don't know who attended on Saturday.

And, the reason GM got rid of the round taillights is that the A8 does not work with them.
