Will there be additional stats released, like exterior color with interior color/trim? i.e. Laguna Blue w/ Adrenalin Red, etc.

True enough but if it's merely an option package why differentiate it from all others, they don't do that with other options? To purposely go out of their way to make them separate tells me they are not considered the same. IMO the Stingray with the Z51 package is no more the same to it's non Z51 brother as the Z06 with the Z07 package is to a Z without the Z07 package.

Now before everyone gets their panties in a wad I'm just curious as to why they do this, I'm not trying to make this a Z51 vs non thread.

I only factored the model and color, not the options

But then the Z51 is cooler.
I think we will see less of the "Base" vs "Z51" conversations when the new daddy comes to town (ZO6).

the old argument of "why do you need Z51 if you're not going to track the car?" would be "why would you need a Z06 if you're not going to track the car?".

9% – Laguna Blue
8% – Crystal Red Metallic
6% – Velocity Yellow

I know, let's kill the fourth most popular color! You know, the one we used for the entire brochure?

It still is not valid as that assumes that the colors are distributed across the "models" in a uniform manner.

No. They don't release combinations like that.

My Z51 came with a badge on it, I guess GM does think it was worth a special note

You dont....unless you do freeway speed street racing....Or want bragging rights.....

The base car is fast enough with the 8spd auto, off the line, that the z06's extra power wont come into play ,in any meaningful way until past 60 mph....

My assumption would be that 2015 will be way into the 40k mark. 2014 got off to a very slow start until they got the process down. Making less than 100 a day for several months. Will they shatter a record in 2015? It will be hard to top the mid 80's

Yes, but they also built 2014s longer than usual. The model year switchover is usually at the beginning of July, not mid August. So expect 2015 to be about the same.

Screw exclusivity when the trade off is getting a great car like this for $60k. The more Vettes, the merrier IMO.

At the bottom it says plant build capacity is 38,000 cars/yr with their single shift and some overtime.

Getting above 40k cars would likely really challenge plant capacity. GM apparently has no intention of adding a second assembly shift.

Surprized to see Silver down so low! It's the best color left of that line-up! Red black Silver CGM Keep the rest!
White or yellow or that blue not for me! GM needs to look at the whole
color line-up!
