I would leave well enough alone. Why take the chance of inducing a problem into your brake system for a different color caliber. Black looks nice and most people will not notice the caliber color anyway.

One hour for everything?
I've worked on a lot of different vehicles over a lot of years and I have a lot of tools, but 1 hour to swap 4 calipers and have them bled? So, jack up a corner, remove the tire/wheel, disconnect & remove caliper, install and hook up new caliper, bleed, and reinstall tire/wheel in 15 minutes? If you're that fast you should be on TV or something.
When it comes time for new brakes on the C7 I'll drive it over to your side of the mountains and watch you while I drink a beer or two.

1 hour + time to bleed them. That's fast, but I don't see a reason to need to spend any more time on it. I've actually done half of this swap right before an enduro race... you tend to wrench pretty quickly when your competition heading to grid and the clock is counting down!
If the C7 is like any of the many other cars I've worked on, you typically have two bolts for the whole caliper & bracket assembly, then the brake line banjo bolt. You'll spend more time jacking the car up and pulling the wheel off than removing the caliper, but floor jacks, air tools, and a little planning will do wonders there.
In a perfect world, you'd get the entire car in the air and pull all wheels at the same time, so that you can just swap stuff over and bleed them in the correct order, without needing to fool with the jack in between each one. But if nothing else, you should be able to jack each car up so that you can get two wheels off of the ground at a time.

does anyone have step by step removal/reinstall instructions like were floating around on C6 forum?? It showed the crush washers and rubber stoppers to use for process. I did my C6 and am now about to powdercoat my C7 calipers when I get it in Oct?? Thanks

Burning Brakes
Caliper Exchange vs. Covers vs. Powdercoating
I bought and installed new red caliper covers on my C4. They look great and work fine. No brake-powder buildup, but I then have ceramic pads. With a nice, new C7 I don't think I'd go for covers. Bite the bullet and exchange them - split the cost with your buddy. If you'd bought them with the car new they'd still have set you back $500+. Don't know about powdercoating. Might be worth checking into it if you live near an outfit that can do it.

For the $1000k, you could buy all the tools necessary to perform the task (including jacks and jack stands, fluids, and ample beer. Furthermore, you could have some fun ********ting with your buddy in the garage (that's the best part right). Oh... and you will learn to do it and never have to pay for a brake job again.
I've never worked on the brakes for a C7 (I don't even have mine yet). But I've done the work on my Evo and the brembos on that are VERY similar to those on the C7. It's not hard, just takes some time.
If I'd have to guess, I would assume that it'll take you and your buddy 4-6 hours to do it your garage (assuming you have little to no experience doing it and have both cars on jack stands and aren't as efficient as a seasoned mechanic... and take beer breaks). I'd probably expect something like 8 hours at a dealer to do it (not that I think it would actually take them that long if they were efficient). But that's 2 techs at 4 hours.

What you really need to do is get a Motive Power Bleeder with an adapter that fits your car (don't mess with the universal one)... It works wonders to make it a fast and easy one-man process.

I can see a dealer charging around 4 hrs/car to do the swap. As mentioned, check with a trusted local independent shop and see what they would charge.

I powdercoated my calipers yellow, the only thing I couldn't do properly was the Corvette script in an arc. I found some stencils on ebay that we're straight & thought they were good enough.
10 hours labor or about $1000 to swap calipers?!? That's way on up there, it doesn't take but maybe 5-10 mins, to remove. Reinstalling wasn't bad if you have a mity-vac bleeder system, say 30 mins. As long as you don't get air into the abs system your okay otherwise you'll need a GDS or Tech2 module to flush the abs system. There's no crush washers & the banjo bolt has those rubber impregnated washers. There's nothing difficult about the C7's brake system, certainly not 10 hours worth...

Hey bud! I should be heading to your city mid-September I'll let you know for sure closer to.
Thanks for all the info guys and no I'm not mechanically inclined at all. Powdercoating is an option but then you loose the Corvette lettering....might end up just sticking with black then I guess there could be worse things
