That probably explains why I either see the same guy or 10 Stingray's in my area, hard to tell as they are all red.

Yeah, but they were no better than the first year of the C6... The sales have been pretty standard for a brand new model.

Why do people hunt and fish instead of just going to the grocery store? Because they enjoy it. And the faster argument means nothing. They both accelerate just as hard while in gear, and damn few people competitively race.

The GM dealers also have a lot to do with this. The Chevy dealer here had a white C7 with an auto. When I went in to try and get a part I asked about it out of curiosity. The salesmen was extremely rude to me, and said the manual in the car was a waste of money on any buyers part and GMs part. He also said they will never sell a new vehicle with a manual transmission.

Pretty incredible jump in white Corvette sales, I remember white always being near bottom during the C6 run.

The median age for C7 buyers will be lower than it was for the C6...or heads will roll at GM. That was the whole point in the C7's "controversial" styling.

Why would you drive something as dull and boring as an automatic? Do you live on a racetrack, where every tenth of a second saved adds hours to you life?
