Order Placed Today - How long until I see it?
Hi Guys,
Just got notification from the dealership that my order was placed today. It is a Z51 with no options that are on constraint. Any idea from previous experience how long it will be before it reaches me in Texas?
Thanks

Well... The z51 is on constraint so it will depend when your dealer has a z51 allocation that he will be able to use within the constraints.

TPWs are now around the first or second week of October. So, I'd say around Halloween.

If the order is allocated and there are no constraints you are looking at 6-8 weeks based on my experience. My order was 7 weeks from placement to my garage.

Yup, and then figure up to another month or so for shipping. That's the real painful part, because it seems so close, and there's no solid info, so you're in "any day now" mode for an extended period of time. I'm still waiting on a car that was built on 8/7... 18 days just to get it into the state by rail, and now it sits at a railyard 30 miles away for an unknown amount of time until it gets trucked into the dealership. Maybe I'll have it before the weekend, or maybe it'll be well into next week, nobody knows...
It might make sense to do NCM delivery, because it presumably gets over there much faster, and you can just go get it, rather than sitting by the phone in anticipation for the better part of a month.

But the OP lives in Texas, and Texas gets shipped by truck, not rail.

If your salesman was Dennis Tap, just ask him. He was spot on with my delivery date.
