Default I did a BAD thing. C7 snob??

Took the '14 out for a drive, late afternoon, 4 lanes of traffic with 2 going in the opposite direction. I was at one stop light and the other car was in the oncoming lanes at a red light a few hundred feet away.
It was a C6 but with the sun in my eyes............I mistook it........for a..........Miata......... Dayum..........by the time I realized it was a Vette, I threw my hand up to wave but I don't think it was in time.
Do you think this C7 thing is getting to me?

Yes, you did a bad thing ... but admitting the problem is the first step toward forgiveness and restoration to fellowship. [patronizing head pat]

At your advanced age, the eyes tend to loose focus . . . .

I'm a 17 year old that drives a first gen Miata.... The c7 is now my favorite corvette (and car in general) and I love seeing them out on the road. You never know who's a corvette enthusiast

Damn. If you have contacts or glasses I think you need to get a different optometrist or if you dont' have contacts or glasses you need to get them ASAP. C6s look nothing like a Miata. I would recognize one from the other without visual aids and I have -9 and -8 contacts...

I wave at every Vette I see, but I don't lose any sleep when I see too late, or worry about those I didn't see (how would I know?). I also don't worry about those to whom I wave, but who don't wave back.

Maybe, they were switching the radio? Maybe they hate me (or red-heads in general)? Who cares?

He was facing the C6 with the sun in his eyes.
So, he couldn't tell it had round tail lights.

Don't feel bad. The C6 was always difficult for me to recognize from the front view. There were too many other cars that looked similar... at a distance.

^ The difficult to recognize a C6 distance he is referring to, is 3.2 miles

If you thought it was a Miata, perhaps a visit to an eye doctor is in order.

I know traffic and other conditions have caused me to be a little late greeting a fellow Corvette driver, and I must gave missed a few. No biggie, the heart's in the right place and I will get the next one.

And here I thought I was the only one who made that mistake...

That Viper driver had the weirdest look on his face when I went by.
