I own a 2015 c7 traded my 2012 z06 let you know how that works out. Look at c6 sales the f2006 Thru 2008 I think you will see that its not any diff.

The only way they will build 3x the C7 vs C6 is if they sell em at half price. Otherwise it will be same old same old, give or take the influence of the economy.

But then those same people would have to crow about the first year C7 selling nearly twelve times the number of cars as the first year C1 to prove their non existent point.

Might as well look at the first year sales of the C4 while you're at it, and the C3, and the C2.
Each new generation of the Corvette has provided the Corvette buyer with a new car that delights them and excites them. It is not something that has only occurred with the C7.

I've always loved vettes and have owned several. I agree with your last comment. "A new broom sweeps clean".

It sounds like of a bunch of bull to me. First of all, what is the source....a blog? Are these actually GM factory documented numbers? No, I don't think so. Also, it says that they are "building" 3x, it says nothing about retail sales.

assuming it's true, seeing as how the Corvette C7 is largely a "made to order" vehicle then there's obviously a demand for them so it doesn't need to list retail, showroom cars would be a fraction of the total number of production.

Stupid article. The C6 (2005) actually outsold the C7 (2014) its first year and that was almost 10 years ago. Doubt the C7 ever reaches 40,000 units in one year - peak C6 production. Final and accurate 2014 numbers should be out soon unless GM tries to hide them.
The most accurate count today is about 36573 C7s to 37372 C6s.
