This keeps getting uglier and uglier for you!! You deserve complete satisfaction! It sounds like the dealer is doing the best they can, and they're seeking help from corporate. I'm hoping this will be resolved very soon!

If Lemon law doesn't apply, should be a good trade-in allowance for all the trouble you have been through. Trade it!!!!

Mine has never been touched but if I jerk drivers door open to quick the glass drags the top while openning. I'm trying to wait for glass to go down before I open the door, retraining myself!

juststan,

Sorry that your convertible top malfunctioned. I understand the displeasure when dealing with a matter like this. Although you're seeking opinions from others, I'd be happy to communicate your concerns with the Customer Experience Managers (CEM) at your GM dealer. Please know that you're welcome to message us privately if you would like to discuss this further, or if you simply want this matter documented.

Kindly,

William R.

Well lets just say Im not the first one with this problem .I just hope this does not happen to somebody putting down there roof while going under 30mph they will have a heart attack .I still have nightmares about this.

I see where you dealer has been superb so far and now GM is really stepping it up to get you taken care of. You sure have been a lot more patient than I could have been. Hope it gets taken care of this time.

I'm thinking this might fall within the Lemon Laws of many states?

I would pursue this, if it was me.

I would strongly recommend the dealer send the car to an upholstery shop. I had the top replaced on my C5 (under warranty) and the dealer told me there was "NO WAY" that they (the dealer) would tackle replacing the top. The upholstery shop had the car one day and did a PERFECT job.
