I REALLY want those wheels....

I think the orange sucks by the way. It's way way way too close to DSOM

Wish they would offer a Orange C7 color... Maybe 2016 or 2017.
The C7 needs a REAL ORANGE COLOR. Like they use on the Lambos!

... Leave the brown in the 70's... brown is NOT Orange.

The C7 would look good with a great looking Orange pearl.

Even luxury car brands are cashing in on Orange colors...

With the shadow placement on the bushes nearby, I'm not convinced that it's as bright as it would look in more direct sunlight. It also appears in this picture that there is a wide range in tone from top to bottom. Even with that viewed on my IPad, I like it with this representation.

I had the opportunity to see a large color chip (gas cap sized) and compare it to all three late-model oranges. It has a lot of gold metal flake in it, and it is about 2 shades darker than the Datona Sunrise orange, not even close to the Inferno Orange (I have that one now). I am planning an order for the new orange in a Z06 Vert this winter, so I was paying very close attention. Fair warning, the color clashes with every interior color but the black and the dark brown and the only top color that will work with it for a convertible is black. I had a discussion with GMs interior guy while I was at Carlisle about that particular disappointment.

This color looks a lot like BMW's Sakhir Orange. Here are a few examples of the color.

good info...

a grey interior w/grey top (for a 'vert) could work with this color as well.

The grey looks fine with Atomic Orange (which may be a lighter color).

(thank you CF-member AORoads !)

That's what I was thinking but I talked myself off the idea.

What color of wheels and stripe (I like stripes) would you choose with that combination?

I saw that hood, the gas cap sample in the plant, and some panels on racks in the plant. It sure looked like DSOM from 2005 to me. I think it will be difficult to tell the two apart unless the cars are side by side in the same light. Even the pictures on here aren't able to show what it looks like.

black stinger w/black wheels, or no stinger w/nickel-plated wheels.

IMO, no other color stripe will look really good with the orange...

and either grey or black calipers !

G-L !

Tough to tell from the pic, but it looks kinda close to the Inferno (tomato) orange.
Don't like it.
Prefer the lighter/less red-brown Atomic Orange '09 I got from Rick.
