2LT remorse
#22
Moron? This forum is pathetic sometimes, I have never seen so many people concerned with others financial decisions. Just another wasted thread, mind your own business. Some should move on and join a psychology forum if they are so interested in the human mind. I guess in the end it is my fault for clicking on the thread in the first place.

Unfortunately the entire Internet is full of "morons", it is not unique to this forum...
BTW, for anyone who cares, I purchased a White Z51 3LT Convertible with a black interior...because that was the car on the showroom floor with 5 miles on the odometer and that is the one I wanted...complete with chrome wheels! Oh no! A Z51 WITHOUT black wheels! Shame on me...

Sometimes I think it is not necessarily owning the upgrading options, but is rather the idea of owning the upgrading options for buyers such as the OP's example. If you want and can afford the extra options, great - get them! I can understand and appreciate the want and/or need for additional options but have to imagine there are people such as myself who have selected a 1LT package simply because it works for our level of comfort and driving style. To each their own

He could have bought the '14 nearly a year ago when Z51 was not available. Made him a rock star during that time.
One member here sold his 14, broke even, and moved on to a 15 order. All kinds of circumstances. With 37,288 in confirmed sales for the '14, it boils down to 37,288 stories for that year, and more stories to be told.

I know several that got a 3LT not for the color difference but the smell and feel of the napa leather... and yes one got it in black. I would rather spend my coin on something else which is why I got a 2LT but sitting in their 3LT... there is a subtle difference that some would appreciate.

Most probably was initially an impulse buy. He likely found out later he wanted the Z51 (since every major road tester indicated everyone should order the car with it).
With that in mind, probably figured if he got the top of the line model, he wouldn't have to re-buy a third time.

I don't think he has "***** envy" over the Z51.

You never really know a persons circumstances. #1 rule...it's his $$$, no mine.

My C5 had the solid black interior as does my C6 Z06.

I was happy with the 2LT interior until my drivers seat leather started to delaminate, and last night noticed the passenger seat is also starting. Seems the finished facing is separating from the backing. Going to the dealer tomorrow to start a warranty claim. I will go the high end interior on the next car, even though black doesn't present the high end look many crave, looks aren't everything.

Mine's a 2lt. No remorse about not shelling out thousands of $$$ more for the 3lt. I don't stare at my interior while driving anyway.

Corvette is a blue collar type car , snobs are you kidding me. Try old men in white tennis shoes and Levi shorts.
