New Vette pre-delivery mileage

New Vette pre-delivery mileage
I've ordered my first Vette ever. Always liked Vettes but couldn't afford one until a year ago, when my wife and I became intrigued with the new C7s. We watched the new C7s come into my local dealer's showroom so we could decide what options to order.
I've seen one on the showroom floor that had 34 miles on it. Asked the salesman to make sure that when we ordered a new 2015 that it had no more than 2 miles on it. (This seems to be the standard miles when looking at dealer's online C7 sales adds.) Suspected that one of the sales people or mechanics took it for a ride. He checked into the mileage and was told by the dealer's Vette specialist that the assembly plant randomly takes a newly assembled Vette and does a test drive to check for problems.
Is this true? Does the assembly plant provide documentation to the new owner to explain the mileage? I don't want a new Vette that I spent $70,000+ on that was test driven by one of the staff at the Chevy dealer.

Mine had 4 miles on it.
Oil was over filled (non z51) and oil filter was not completely secure and it blew 3 quarts of oil all over the freeway. Massive white clouds of smoke from the exhaust burning oil coming off the back of the car.
Had it cleaned up, fixed under warranty and zero issues with it since.

What would it matter if it had 4 or 34 miles on it?

There really isn't anything to explain by the assembly plant or dealer unless it has 50+ miles on it.

My '15 had 25 on it at arrival, 28 after pdi. Was told it must have been a random QC test car. I didn't mind at all. Everything is perfect on the car, if it wasn't QC would have caught it.

Mine had 24 miles on it from the factory
Mine was selected for one of their QC Audit's which is a good thing. The second clue is there was already a phone paired to my car by "Judy" who seems to be the same lady that must be doing those tests.
I was happy to see that. But as far as someone documenting the actual mileage on your new Vette once delivered to your dealer I know of no way other than to be there at delivery and watch it come off the truck
The date time stamps in each photos metadata also verifies what my dealer documented.

I should have given a little more information about what the salesman told me but I didn't want this thread to go down a rabbit trail about salesmen. The salesman told me that their Vette specialist (this is a small dealer that had under 30 Vettes for the 2014 quota) said there could be up to a couple of hundred miles in a QC test drive. Obviously this is more than a QC.
This will be their first 2015 Vette (will arrive in 1-2 weeks). Don't know if the salesman was misinformed or maybe, just maybe, there's an ulterior motive. Just trying to get a feel for what's a reasonable amount of mileage for a QC drive and if the assembly plant did QC test drives.
I'll just make sure I'm called when they unload the truck.

Some of you guys are missing the point, he doesn't want some jerk joy riding in his car after its delivered. Now you know what's reasonable, that salesman who told you 100 plus miles has something else in mind. He's full of sh*t.

The stores I visited with Corvettes.....I travel 7 states for work. The keys were in the sales managers office and questions were asked internally before the cars were unlocked for me to look inside. I was impressed how the "Crown Jewels" were looked over by the many dealers I visited.
