Mulan Leather or Sueded Microfiber Seats?
Any inputs on how the two different seats look and wear? I'm still on the fence on what to order. Thanks...

The microfiber on my CTS-V held up really well after 3 years and 36k miles. The drivers seat and others all looked nearly identical which is impressive since I was in the car alone 99.99% of the time. Hopefully the Vette material would hold up just as well or even better. It was also a dramatic difference in temperature between it and the surrounding leather on a hot Atlanta day.

I have the micro-suede inserts. In fact, I have the Brownstone interior, which has micro-sued on the console, doors, including the arm rest, and dash. After about 8500 miles, I see no wear. The driver's side still looks the same as the passenger side, which never gets used. No maintenance is required, and I did not treat it with anything.
I would get the inserts again and would recommend them. They provide a nice visual contrast, feel great, and kind of hold you in place.

depends, is it light or dark color and how difficult is the suede to clean?

I currently have black interior on my C5.....easy to maintain and still looks good 11 years later. And as long as the top is on, the seat doesn't get that hot. I've sat in several C7s, but once I get in, I get distracted and forget to check the seats...
Does the C7 have the same "leather" seats as what is in my C5?
I would think the microfiber suede would be difficult to move around on and as a result, show more wear.

Thanks Monk. That's also a question I've had about the suede.

With any car, microsuede/ alcantera surfaces will last longer without wear, are less temperature variant (less hot in summer, less cold in winter), doesn't crack, and typically will not stretch over time like leather. Also, I've noticed in fast maneuvering, you remain nicely planted in your seat and are not prone to sliding from side to side. I've had microsuede in a few cars now and would always choose over leather if an option.

Bought a 3LT off dealer lot and ordinarily would never have opted for the suede like inserts, now having owned it would never have another without it.
Feels cool, attracts NO lint(biggest fear) shows no butt print(8K so far) holds you without grabbing your undergarments at all, warm in winter and is so COMFY.
