Default One of a kind C7, not so one of a kind.

I bought my c7 last year and I have a early vin.1077. I live in a small town PCB FL and today Alone I saw one red 2lt z51 almost get in a wreck. A green base c7, Then a 2lt base yellow c7. Pulling into Chick-fil-A and a CG c7 in lane . Then i looked up to see if there was a car show and there is not. Owning my c7 has been awsome. Lots of people drooling when i pull up but,To see 8 c7s before lunch in my area is crazy. I truly believe that soon the smoke will clear and it will just be another car. But hopefully not anytime soon.Do you guys w early builds feel the same. Just kind of a strange day with so many c7s around..

The smoke has already cleared. Just enjoy it. It does not matter how many others have them.

I live in a community of 40,000, but a good 25% are snow birds and only here Nov-April. Still, I've seen an AW, CG, LB, and LG coupe in town, along with my LB vert. Still plenty of attention to go around.

I live in a town of 1.3 million and I see any given C7 probably once a month. But I really don't get out much.

They sold almost 38,000, what do you expect?

And really, does it matter how many others you see? I bought my C7 for me, not anyone else. YMMV.

Lately when out cruising have seen at least one each time, and over this past weekend saw 6 in one day.
And they all waved

Two that I know of in my area - mine and one 2 blocks away. Nice coincidence.

I had a 2007 Machine Silver with the polished rims and someone that lives in my housing addition who I don't know used to also have a Machine Silver C6 (not sure what year) with polished rims. Since I've sold my C6 I noticed that there's a Blade Silver Z51 C7 with black rims and carbon flash mirrors and spoiler now in my neighborhood and I don't see the other C6 anymore so I'm assuming its the same guy and he upgraded. Funny thing is I've got the same color combo on order with maybe one difference in carbon flash badging. I'm sure the guy will conclude its his old C6 twin when he see my car go by.

That's partly because all the CA dealers are still charging $5K to $10K over MSRP

Well, there's a PE Vert 50 miles north, and a PE vert 20 miles south. So that makes three of us in a really small (relative) area. So talk about a 1/550 chance---sheesh!

Before we all know it, there will be enough of us that it won't take us the extra couple of seconds to wave, because the C7 will be instantly recognizable.

That is because you live in FL where corvettes, mustangs, camaros, and challengers are lined up at every car rental lot.

You should have been in Bowling Green last week. With over 8,000 registered Corvettes in the National Caravan, there were Corvettes everywhere, to the point people stopped waving to each other.

If you don't like being just another car, order a Z06, that would definitely revive the uniqueness of your ride for a while.

I am a builder, and I have 2 in my neighborhood, and 2 c7s in 2 other, community's I am building in, the red c7 That almost smashed into the prius was nice, on a good note atleast I have the Areo 7 pkg so it does set mine apart, thinking about CF painting my top, IN FL my dealer told me I wouldn't be happy w the transparent top heat issues.I also powder coated satin blk so it does looks better than the other NRB I saw today...JMO but kind of a funny day, at the end I saw 8 c7s 3 z51s and 5 base. one DR. that lives 2 blks away traded in his c6 GS for a new Porsche cayman s, It is nice but I would get the cayman GTS if it was me. very nice I will try to get some pics soon next time I talk to him. Hopefully The c7s don't start getting so popular like the stangs, when you pull up to the mall you see 12 out of 40 cars........

The average Joe on the street won't notice the difference.

Oddly enough, I have seen hardly any c7s around Dallas, and I know there have to have been many sold here. Maybe no one is taking them out to work or running errands. Who knows!

You are lucky enough to live on the emerald coast of Florida so I suspect people are there with the C7's as it is a great place to drive the C7! I saw a Torch red C7 in Destin back in July when we were there..I had thought about driving my C7 to Florida to cruise around but decided to drive my Trailblazer to tow the jet skis instead. Congratulations on living in that beautiful area and owning and driving your beautiful car there too.

I live/work in Washington DC. There are millions of people here including commuters from VA & MD.. and tourist from all over the nation. I'm in downtown DC six days a week. With the exception of a media day summer of 2013.. I've seen exactly ONE C7 in DC. In fact I've seen the same black C7 vert, parked on the same street, twice. So it all depends on where you live. For the vast majority of owners, a Corvette is a weekend toy or a second-vehicle driven only in great weather and used for relaxation & fun. There are quite a few who use their Vette as a daily driver, but these people generally don't live in large metropolitan areas where a two-seater coupe with stiff suspension navigates well along pot-holed streets full of commuters and pedestrians.

I'd bet the same could be said for Ferraris, Lamborghinis, convertibles, boats and motorcycles in communities like yours. You probably see a lot of them too. There's a good reason why "toys" like that are popular in communities like yours.. and its not the toy's fault. Its just a common occurrence due to environment you live in.
