Correct - the avid cyclists have no problem fitting in the seats and find the interior roomy.

Let's hope so; today I put 9 miles on my C6 and 16 miles on my bike, which fits easily under the C6 hatch after taking off the front wheel.

But like the OP, I'd sure rather have a bike rack outside. The problem with the C7 is that it's all-aluminum back there and based on experience with the C6Z aluminum frame not many modders want to try messing with that, as opposed to the steel C6 frame for which there are several trailer hitch solutions available.

What might be a better idea for the C7 is some arrangement using SeaSucker suction cups that wouldn't require drilling or welding. https://www.seasucker.com/ Maybe three or four of them stuck to the rear fascia would be enough to hold on to a bike at 190mph.

Why do people care what he does with HIS car? How does it affect you in any way? I don't get it. Why do people feel the need to be unhelpful.

Pat, I think the biggest difficulty is the center mounted exhaust getting in the way of a hitch that is high enough to be useful. If you are using a platform style hitch and not a goose neck, it's going to be difficult just because of geometry. The solutions for other center exhaust cars like the Focus ST have similar issues with height.

The suction cups may be the way to go.

The OP wasn't asking anyone their opinion about whether or not they would carry a bike around with their Vette. There are, in fact, people who do use their Vettes as everyday drivers and don't worship them like some love object. Many own ONLY the Vette as their prime vehicle and MUST use it for practical purposes.

Give them a break.

He was asking for information. Not opinions or smart-a** responses.

I'm sure he appreciates your help.

I understand your comment and you do have a point but the C7 seems a supremely poor choice for a moving bike rack. Never designed for such. People have asked about trailers despite the owner’s manual specifically saying don’t do it. Don

Right, 'cause those 19 pound road bikes just can't be carried by anything less than a Tahoe.

I doubt the OP was asking about a trailer hitch to pull a trailer. Most well-designed bike racks simply slide into a receiver. This is the best way to haul bikes. They don't touch your car in any way.

That said, I would be surprised if there's a workable solution on our cars given the location of the central exhaust. Any receiver would have to come out underneath, and that would probably be too close to the ground.

Save yourself the hassle and get a suction cup type bike rack:

You might want to contact CURT Manufacturing and ask. I know they have a hitch for the C6 (check their website), but nothing yet for the C7. I'm sure it's only a matter of time before they release a C7 hitch.

Tell me it isn't so

While my C7 isn't a daily driver, I was once young and poorer and could only afford 1 car. I had bought a new 1988 Mustang GT when I finished grad school and took my first real job. It had a trailer hitch on it so that it could tow my Jetski and accommodate my bike rack.
Being able to use a car for multiple purposes is what gives it broad appeal. Hell, if it weren't for the fact that a Corvette (unlike anything from Porsche (suv's & Panamera excluded) or Ferrari) could fit two sets of golf clubs and a couple of duffel bags in it, I wouldn't have bought one - trips to and from the golf club account for about 30% of the mileage on my Corvettes'.
