Porsche Carrera S probably. I had a deposit on one when I bought my first Vette. Maybe another BMW M3 Coupe (now the M4).

I'd probably look at a Nissan 370z.

Up until this morning it would have been a Porsche. Now...
Driving to work I saw this brand new Audi A7 beside me at a light.
It was Black with chrome wheels and it was stunning looking, even in the rain.

I know everything with cars is personal preference, but I just can't get on board with that interior! What a convoluted mess...

Default interesting story...

2 years ago I was craving a new , old sports car. I decided on a NSX
early model like 1994. The guy would not let me test drive it, so I put my deposit down for a C7. Also have a 1973 Detomaso Pantera

Just shows what I know...LOL!
If there were no Corvettes, how could you have a vintage Corvette?

New Corvettes aren't vintage Corvettes....or even similar in my imaginary scenario. Just another new American made sports car....instead of a new import.
My point exactly, you said Corvette.

My new 2015 Corvette C7 will be my 1st Corvette ever. Recently placed order with local dealer.

I will add the C7 to my present stable of premium cars. Both Jaguar XKR Portfolio Edition and Porsche Cayman are great rides. I am so anxious to see how the 2015 C7 will compare to these 2 awesome rides.

Belchfire...

You are exactly right...I thought the thread was about 'Vintage" Corvettes not existing....

I deleted my post' above...they didn't even apply to the topic...My bad...
