If the Corvette didn't exist, what would your next choice of car be within the same price range?

Ferrari 328

I have one that I drove the wheels off of until I picked up my first vette ('07) a few years ago.

I still have the 328 but only put a couple of hundred miles on it per year. Very affordable car to own (at least by Ferrari standards) so I plan to hold on to it.

Five months ago when I was looking for a car, I considered two - the C7 Z51 and the 981 Cayman S. I couldn't find a suitable Z51 (slim pickings at the time), and I didn't want to order a car, so basically the decision was made for me. Had I been able to get a Z51, I likely would have chosen it over the CS. Since I've had Porsches before, but only one Corvette (C6 Z06), I was more drawn to the C7. I'm happy with the CS though, nice car. I'll probably end up with a Corvette next time.

Viper at the new price. Next to the Corvette and Z06 its the next best bang for the buck in terms of a true sports car @ $85K.
