My SG Convertible with machine face wheels is due in to my dealer any day now. However, I went with yellow calipers on mine and will be changing out the chrome lug nuts to black. I am dying to see how the "package" looks.

I think that was the original name of the color. Then someone thought "Shark Gray" sounded better. I agree, as I ordered my vert in this color. A lady that works at a church I do computer work for has a Chevrolet Malibu that is clearly the same color as Shark Gray. Not sure, but I think it's called "Ashen Gray Metallic". GM may have many names for the same color depending on the car. My 2004 GTO is "Torrid Red", but is probably the same color code as the 2015 C7 "Torch Red".

Shark Gray is not the color to have after Cyber gray. I hope GM comes out with a new Gray maybe Mako Gray!!!
While I obviously dig Shark Gray, they could've brought back
Cyber Gray and called it "Mako Gray" and sold tons. I loved Cyber Gray but had to settle with Shark Gray for '15...
Not a bad way to settle, love the color and congrats on the car.
When I was first contemplating a C7, I liked the Cyber Gray as I felt this complemented the carbon flash stuff the best. Just the right amount of contrast. Perhaps a little more "contrast" with the Shark Gray, but it still works really good..
Just had my c7 delivered Sunday morning. The look is just what I wanted. I also have the carbon fiber dash package...Pricey, subtle, but Looks great. I just found out there's a hidden compartment in the trunk. Who Knew? It contains the trickle charger.
The first time I started the car in sport mode and the muffler's rumble kicked in, I had to giggle. Very cool.

For what it's worth, mine does too. I think DAFFYDRUNK is right that this was the original name before the marketing department decided to change the name to Shark Gray.
In any case, I love the color regardless of what they call it!
