Default Hood Opener
Anyone aware of a way to open the C-7 hood if the cable breaks on the opening lever? I had a tool that would do this on my C-4.

a side note... what is the preferred method for closing the hood? a solid slam from the middle? or a soft close with a firm press on each side to latch?

I just let it drop from a couple of feet. On the rare occasion it doesn't latch, I open it and try again.

Place your thumb and fore finger at the top center of the hood vent and push. Closes every time.

Forefinger in driver side latch loop and flick it closed.
