Last week the constraint report said there were no allocations. This week is says 10/6 TPW. That tells me that there are allocations. Need one of our forum dealers to speak up.

An order can be put into the system at any time. That really means nothing. What is the status of your order? 1100? Until you get to 2000, your Order really means nothing. At 2000, it has been accepted by GM and will quickly move to 3000 and then on to getting built.

And I see you are from our Northern neighbor. There has been some speculation that the cycle last week was devoted to export units.

Checked again with my dealer and he said orders from three weeks ago have TPWs of 10/6. Orders will be open again next week.

Thanks for all the valuable information. I have a question. I have been at 1100 since 7/26/15 due to C2Z roof constraint at Les Stanford. Do you have any information about when Chevy fills their orders?

Allocations are distributed on Thursday and dealers must fill them by EOB Monday. However, this does not happen every Thursday. There have been no allocations for a couple of weeks. As I mentioned above, there has been speculation that these weeks have been devoted to exports. You're in good hands at Les Stanford. Do you know how many are in line in front of you at Les Stanford?

Well I am number 63 on the list. Most orders are moving ahead, even the ones after my number. It appears my car is the same build as yours. Do you have the C2Z roof? Its been a toss up for me because I have not seen this color combo with and without the C2Z. I also like the solid color roof. If you do have the C2Z roof, are you happy with it compared to the solid roof? By the way, what does EOB mean? If dealer does fill EOB on Monday, when could I see the status move? Thanks for your input.

Yes, I have the visible carbon fiber roof (C2Z). EOB = End of Business. If your order is assigned to an allocation, it will move to 2000 on Tuesday (dealer can show you this on a GM OrderWorkbench display/printout). It won't move on the tracker website until it reaches 3000.

Orders after your could be moving because they don't have items on constraint.

Can I get an accurate status on my order when I chat with Chevy or is the dealer info more accurate? In your opinion, when is the best day and time to check my status. Sorry about the question blitz.

Thanks for posting this. Is there a website where we can find this information on a regular basis or do you have an inside track?

I am not familiar with the constraint listing - I have an order on hold at a dealer due to a constraint on the new black machine-faced wheels (non-z51). is there a way to see an update on that constraint?

thanks for any replies...

Your dealer should be the one getting you this information. Make them earn their profits. I would rely more on the dealer than Chevy chat. Tue or Wed.

No GM website to get this.

You have to remember that your dealer is probably speaking just for him/herself, while Zymurgy is quoting the national constraint percentages. Not every dealer gets a car every consensus. If a dealer has les than 20 vettes total for the model year, there will be consensus cycles where they get no cars, and most where they only get one car.

Just because he has outstanding placed orders (status 1100) doesn't not mean he will get a car on the next allotment.

As a temporary constraint with no code one would add:
Properly functioning steering wheel air bag at 0%.
