Default Just almost bought a C7, but the Dealer Sux

Long story short. I went looked at a 2014 C7. The salesman says that they are selling for $4k over sticker. I offer $5 k under MSRP. He comes back and says the Mgr. says the best they will do is $1500 over MSRP. See Ya !

Small Chevy Corvette dealer near me is selling a new 2014 Z51 convertible for $5,000 UNDER MSRP. 2014's are not in short supply.

In fact, three local Chevy dealers(one large and two small) have left over 2014's on their lots at less than MSRP.

Supplies of 2014s are starting to get low (regardless of what the above posts say). cars.com shows about 2100 new in the whole country, only 900 or so Z51s. But that doesn't explain why dealers think they can charge MSRP+ for a year old car... Don't give up, though, there are dealers dealing under MSRP.

You're calling a Moderator a Troll? OK, probably not the wisest thing you've done.

Well .. a waste of your time, but if enough people walk away from dealers who like to gouge people, maybe they'll get the message.

I had the same situation with my 'local' dealer. I told them I wouldn't pay one penny over MSRP, and found my car through another dealer. That's probably why my local dealer only gets about 4 'vettes a year ..
