Heck, I still work 40-93 hours a week in a crappy job, but it supports my family and gets me the things I want.
So I deal with the crappiness and my stupidvisor.

Wow. Awesome article. My Torch Red Z51 is sitting at the plant awaiting museum delivery on November 8th. Driving it home with my 13 year old son - gonna be a great experience for us both! Can't wait!

Stopped at Waffle House for breakfast, and as I got out, a man driving dumpster truck pulled up and told me how much he liked the car, and that he had always wanted one... I talked to him for 10 or 15 minutes and he knew all about the details and history.
Even though I am not "rich" by most standards and saved for years to buy my car, I still feel a little guilty talking to someone that will likely not ever be able to own their dream car.

This is a great article that speaks volumes about what GM has accomplished with the C7 Corvette. I had a '69 427 and a '72 LT1 that I sold after a time. Once 1974 hit I was no longer interested in Corvettes until I started to see the performance and design improvements of the C5 and C6. When the C7 came out I had to have one and my '14 Cyber Gray Z51 is everything I expected. I can honestly say I believe it is the best car to come out of America in forever. Last week I was cruising through a very high end shopping area in Silicon Valley (Santana Row). If you drive Santana Row you will always see at least one each of Ferrari, Audi R8, Bentley GT, Lambo, etc. parked in front of the stores. Silicon Valley is a very ethnically diverse area with many highly educated people. As I slowly made my way through the main street I could read the lips of people of all ages and ethnic backgrounds point and mouth out "New Corvette". What surprised me was the number of young (approx 10-16yrs) Hispanic, East Indian, and Asian girls that knew exactly what this car was. They would tug at their parents to point out the car. Amazing response for an American car. I really feel that across America the response is not about "affordability" but about pride in that America has a car that sits on the world stage. I know many on this forum may not remember but during the Apollo lunar missions, as the rocket was lifting off the launch pad, the giant USA letters would scroll past the camera on the pad as the rocket slowly left the pad. Millions and millions of Americans watched these launches with a sense of pride in this country for doing what seemed impossible. I feel that the new C7 Corvette makes people proud to be a part of the country that produced this amazing vehicle.

Even if I had the money for a Veron , I would get several Corvettes , and build the Garagemahal to house them. Fartrris and Porches seldem get a second look from Me. And after 40 Years of fixin Peoples junks , I can't tell You how much I hate Euro Cars.

There will be no foreign POS's in my garage, parked in my driveway, or in front of my house.
When we were selling our house, I made the buyer's realtor showing our house park down one house in her POS Mercedes.
Then left instructions with our realtor that anyone who wants to show our house and owns a foreign POS, must park one house down away from ours.
By the way, our house sold 2 days after it was on the market.
