Default Opti-Coat Pro applied

I just had Opti-Coat Pro applied to my 2015 a few days ago. So far it looks great and makes it easy to wash.

Bryan Burnworth at Peach State Detail applied it and I recommend anyone in the South East to give him a call or email him for a quote.

Yes. He recommended the two bucket no rinse wash method with Optimum No Rinse. Other than that there is really nothing more that needs to be done, no waxing, etc.

Yes and no, google opti coat....for a wash I recommend carpro RESET...it's made for coatings....I'd also spray it with carpro RELOAD every 3 months, spray on wipe off...also made for coatings....

But ONR is good stuff....

I opti coated my miata and just washed it with Griots wash. Worked very well despite it being a daily driver that I washed during the winter monthly in a pressure wash bay. Despite the hash winter treatment, the OC lasted 2 1/2 years with excellent beading and protection. It is good stuff that doesn't have to be babied by any means.

Thank you very much for your kind words Pcorvette1. It was our pleasure.

As far as washing with carpro reset, you surely don't want to wash a freshly coated car with it. I would wait at least 30 days when using a harsher wash like reset. IMO I see no need to use reset unless your car sits out 24/7. Regular washings either w hose method or ONR are your best bet IMO.

Well this sucks. Three owners now that have the color combination I have on order and live in the same town.

On topic, could you get opti-coat along with Xpel?

Thanks good info, I've used reset several times on opti and CQ and found it not harsh at all, I'll continue, it brings the finish back down to the coating without harming it. I do it quarterly and ONR/AW the rest of the time. Any opins on reload? I really like it.

Red and Black in Georgia ... no Way
I chose to go the proper direction. Blue with Orange stripes.

PS, I really like the DSOM. Too bad chevy did not have a sample when I originally placed my order.

Your car looks great!

FWIW: My car is done with Gtechniq (another polymer) Crystal Lacquer and EXOv2. Wheels included. They claim it's a 3 year finish. We'll see.

I use:

1.Reset Car Shampoo per Glen's recommendation

2. Optimum Car Wax - it's a spray that wipes on.

3. Optimum Detailer and Gloss Enhancer.

The detailer recommended the Optimum product so that is what I use and it works great. It's comparatively inexpensive. This is over Xpel Ultimate.

You can top Xpel Clear bra with OC.

I've done many coatings, you're really missing out if your still waxing.

[QUOTE=Pcorvette1;1587854244]I just had Opti-Coat Pro applied to my 2015 a few days ago. So far it looks great and makes it easy to wash.

Other than my painted roof spears, I think I have your twin!! Mine is Opti-Coated as well (over SunTek paint protection film) including wheels, calipers, and all the windows. Couldn't be happier with my C7!

Default xpel...opti coat....black crystal seal.....

So I did the opticoat pro on top of a partially xpelled Arctic White and couldn't be happier. I wash with optimum rinseless (1-bucket, 10 rags) and the shine is great. Every 2 or 3 months, I apply a couple of coatings of BlackCrystal Seal to it, and it absolutely ROCKS! Easy and Nice Looking....

thanx Glen e......

The PNW is no diff than other parts of the country, you need to follow a simple set of operations that many have followed here.

Just download the following documents and read. It's not so much about the products as good tools and procedures:
