The 900 miles, might have been put on at a drag strip. Have it checked out.

wow thats a cheap price. I'd ask about the warranty. It's not a GM warranty who is it the tuner?

The 3 lt is probably worth the 66K and the rest is gravy.

I'd get the dyno charts take them to someone who knows what they mean and see how radical the car is. If the car is set up to the extreme limits of the engine be concerned. If it is well balanced and there is some HP left on the table there is less chance you are going to have problems.

For me of course you need to know way its begin sold, ask yourself what are you going to do with that extra HP and how long you think you will keep the car? More you hammer it longer you have it more issues down the road.

With the LT1 issues that have been posted on this forum, I wouldn't touch it as it has no GM powertrain warranty.

I agree. Unless the performance enhancements were put on just for show, they have been used. That's not necessarily a bad thing, but prudence dictates thorough evaluation.

Get all the information you can. You don't build a car like that for show. Chances are that right food has been used a lot. Plenty of straight roads in the Spring area. Search for some of the forum members from the Houston area, might be that one or more know of this car. I would not buy it as there is no GM warranty on it. But it looks good and sure to be fast and the price is to good to be true. I would spend much time talking with the owner and see if you can drive it. Lots of good cars out there for 66K. Just saying...

I have to disagree...... I know plenty of folks who build cars just for show!!!!

Plenty of folks who want the new Z06 and have no intention of it ever being hammered unless you consider waxing it going to the limit. Face it most folks don't know what the right foot can do with one of these cars.

We have a club of 200 members. At a meeting a fews weeks back probably 60 or so of them were at a meeting. There was open track day at Mid Ohio on Labor Day. I invited all of them to come down........ do a few laps in their cars or come ride with me. 2 of my friends came down all the others where at a stinkin CAR SHOW!!!!!!!!!!!!

It sounds like a steal, but there are a few issues that come up for me

No engine warranty

And it could have been pushed prior to allowing the proper break in period for the motors.

Its a iffy for me.

I know. No engine warranty is what scares me. Owner just turned 87 years old. His new Z 06 will be delivered next month. Rear tires still like new. Wish there was a company that sold aftermarket warranty's for moded cars.

There is! UplayUpay, Inc. They have a claims department near you!

Modified cars are a crapshoot. Considering your description of the owner, it may very well be one of the safer crapshoots around. Have a shop that TRUELY understands that particular supercharger and nitrous look at the install and the tune. If you REALLY want a car modified in this manner, it may be a good buy.

Wow! I hope that's what I am doing at age 87.
