Yes, already entertained that theory and dismissed it. More holes in it that one than a slice of Swiss Cheese.
Sticking with "attention starved, leading to irrational driving behavior around cars that are getting more attention" as the theory.

I took the top off today (something I couldn't do with my GTR) I was just cruising along the DC beltway when a yellow Lamborghini hummed by. He waved. Curiously, I waved back. That wouldn't have happened in the GTR. Maybe it was a "top off wind blowing " thing. I gave him a nice big wave as he exited. Maybe I'm getting soft. Oh well the Vette brings out the best in me.
had to smile and laugh at your post. Nothing wrong with mutual appreciation.
Sadly (or not) I've not seen any GTRs. Ferraris and Porsches mainly. A few Stingrays. I get more waves and thumbs from guys in big hemi trucks. This segment of the population seem to love the C7!
I love admiring other peoples rides. Difference is now I don't feel quite as envious! Well, unless I came across the Aventador
