Default Paddle shifting and instrument cluster goes dead

While driving my A6 today, I was paddle shifting up gears. As I shifted from 2nd up to 5th, I noticed the the numbers were not changing in the instrument cluster. The car was actually upshifting though. The next thing I know the whole instrument cluster went dead. 15 to 20 seconds later it came back.

Anyone else experience this ?

Sorry no one seems to have had this happen. I have not.

So, it was as if the cluster froze? Was anything else registering...speedo? What mode?

I was in M mode. Yes, it's as if the cluster froze and then just blacked out. within 15-20 seconds it came back.

Sounds like it locked up, then rebooted. Probably won't happen again.

I was referring to drive mode...Tour, Sport. For reference more than anything.

Recently I had mine at dealer for infotainment screen blacking out, flickering/scrolling etc. Apparently the TFT instrument screen is being problematic also because at least 2 people thought that's what I was coming in for.
