I'm very curious to see if they paint the entire vent mesh and all, or just the slats. I don't think I've seen one on the forum yet.

Shark gray with shark gray vents? Not really my cup of tea but to each his/her own. I like the contrast the different color vents give the car.

I really like that... and I see where they do paint the mesh, that'd look pretty crappy with yellow vents.

Thats funny as I visited the dealer in Naples FL and they have a Shark Gray on the floor with the option and to my surprise, it looked good.

I have a white 2015 coupe and do not think it would look good on my car.

It was not a dealer installed option as it was on the sticker

Two different options. EFY and EFX.
EFY is body colored vents and this option has been cancelled.
EFX is Shark Gray vents and this option is available.

Here is an image that had been posted on the forum. As I recall, this was a forum vendor that had painted the vents on their shop car to gauge interest offering body colored vents.

Thats pretty crappy of GM. They can announce lots of cool stuff for the C7 and then never deliver on it. They did it with the software apps and now the vents. Whats next ? Are we sure the A8 is really there ?

Not sure why you are defending the practice by saying others do it as well. Its not good for ANY company to do this. They have announced the new Z06 to have 650 HP. I guess you would be OK if they announced prior to production that it will be revised to have 550 HP instead. That would **** off a lot of people that have waited to place an order.

I'm just tired of the constant GM bashing by some members. I'm not defending GM or anybody else. Just saying it happens. If I was going to defend it, I would give real reasons why it happens. I'm not going to expend that much energy. You either understand that often time things change due to circumstances beyond your control or you don't. Happens to individuals, happens to corporations.

I think what bothers me is this is the NEW GM. Yeah I agree with you there is a lot of GM bashing on this forum but after that ignition recall fiasco they really have to live up to a better standard today. This whole concept of constraints for options is really getting old. Factories operate on just-in-time deliveries. The fact that they have constraints at all tells me that the product planners underestimated some options popularity and sourced to low volume producers based on cost.
