Default 2015 C7 Z51 1LT or 2015 Challenger Hellcat??

That's my dillema, I can't decide! I would love to hear some thoughts and opinions on my tough decision. Anyone else debating between these 2 beasts? Any C7 owners thinking about trading in for a hellcat? All feedback is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Well for starters, the 1200 extra pounds will eat all the extra horsepower so a drag race could be a iffy difference, on a road course no contest, hellcat will see those tail lights.

Two very different cars, if you want to have the HP bragging rights get the Hellcat. If you want a super all around one of the best sports cars on the market well one choice the Corvette.

No.

No need for a backseat
Too heavy
Lack of body styling on the Challenger
Not as trackable as my Vette
It's a Dodge that isn't a Viper

It's your choice, but I would never choose a beefy four-seater muscle car over a sleek and sexy sportscar. Make sure you weigh all of your options!

Thanks for the replies! They're definitely different cars for sure. i was all set on the Vette but the hellcat keeps creeping into my mind. 90% sure I'm going with the Vette.

Two completely different cars. The only thing the Hellpig is good for is Friday night at the drag strip, bragging about power at car shows, and hauling around more than 2 people.

Mullah, it's an easy decision......

If you want horsepower, go Hellcat.

If you want power, sexiness and a total package, go C7.

I've never thought the Challenger was a good looking car. And I must drive something that looks as good as it performs.....personal opinion only.

Stick with you 90% sure instinct. I have had many performance cars and I can tell you my 2015 Z51 C7 is an awesome car. I have heard several people post they can't believe the attention it receives and I am here to tell you it's unreal.

Go with the Hellcat that way there's one less C7 on the road and makes them less common. You can get the Hellcat and almost blend in with the V6 and R/T dime a dozen Challenger crowd.

I'm taking a base stripped C7 over a Hellcat 57 times a day and 987 times on Sunday.

It will be hard to get an honest opinion here. We all pretty much picked the Vette over everything else out there. Personally, I would take less weight, better mileage, removable roof over the Hellcat any day. I sold my 600 whp CTS-V and getting a C7 for most of those reasons.

On a forum that regularly has haters of the "more sporting than any Dodge Charger or Challenger SRT or HC".. the Camaro SS, ZL1 and Z28 why would anyone expect the answer to be HC?

Z51.. base model.. or Camaro any day all day

And if the opinions that have already been mentioned in this thread aren't enough, one of the biggest factors will be how soon do you want it? The Hellcat has a lot of allocation stipulations, and apparently more demand than Dodge can build to start with, so unless you already have an order placed and accepted you will be waiting for quite a while it sounds like. You can buy a Vette now.

The Stringray is a rockstar man plain and simple. Everywhere I go people take pictures and stop to talk about the car. It's an amazing car! The hellcat is a beast no doubt, but I promise you its not going to turn heads like the vette! Again it's like most everyone has said it really depends on what you want...........

If you go Hellcat, just be prepared to pay a pretty big 'market adjustment' to the MSRP. Also I would give the Hellcat a year or so before buying one to get the bugs worked out.
