I'm thinking about the rear blackout strips. Do they completely prevent any reflected light, or are they light enough that the reflectors still function, just more dimly?

If you could take a picture of the back of a car, at night, with flash I'd love to see one. If one reflector had the strip, and the other didn't, it would be even better.

Show us what they look like at night. If they are really blacked out they are illegal in my state and not safe regardless of legality.
