Awesome review, very honest.. and spot on with regard to the Porsche too. I haven't driven the M4 yet, but for some reason I think.. no.. I KNO.. GM via Cadillac has something waiting for that one too. The ATS-V is gonna EFF that ugly lil German up. Mark my words. The only thing they will be able to dog the Caddy for will be the backseat room.

great article.
I'm currently shopping those 3 cars; well the M3, Cayman GTS and Vette. Something in me wants the M3, but I keep coming back to the vette. The Caymans price and performance knocked it out of the running for me.
Ive always been a big Corvette fan, even though I am not an American Muscle guy at all, but the interiors are what has made it a non-option for me in the past. This C7 with Competition seats in 3LT sports a beautiful interior!
As the article states, at 20k less then the M3, how could I go wrong with the vette. I have a feeling they will hold their value a little better then previous generations as well, especially here in Canada where allocation numbers are so slim.

But the flaws of the sixth-generation Corvette are gone. The interior is genuinely special at its best and up to industry par at its worst.

Articles like this only make me wonder why so many trolls here seem to be so negative about the C7. There is simply nothing that looks (interior & exterior), sounds and performs anywhere close to the C7 for under the $100K price mark. While price should not even be necessary when explaining how great the C7, the fact that it starts at $54K only makes the car that much more amazing. Its almost an unfair advantage for the C7 to deliver so much and still cost relatively so little.
My first question to anyone who complains about the C7 Stingray or upcoming Z06.. is well what do you drive? Trust me.. its one of the shortest conversations you will ever have.

I'll have to remember that. Wouldn't work on the internet, though. Everyone on the internet drives a 458 or an Avendator.

Safety Car
A) The guy who wont answer the question. But instead wants to explain why it doesn't matter what he drives because 'even though he could afford a new Corvette, he still wouldn't get one because he would rather have something else'.
B) The guy who hesitates for a second, before finally answering truthfully. He then typically goes into a defensive rant about why he drives what he does.. (ex: My wife chose this car.. Or I needed something with a backseat and a trunk) and how perfectly happy he is with it and wouldn't bother replacing it with anything else anyways.
I just generally stay quiet, while chuckling a bit on the inside.. as these guys do their best to save face. Ironically the 458 & Aventador guys rarely have anything bad to say about the Corvette. They think its an awesome ride and admit that its amazing they had to spend that much MORE for something better.

Now we're taking a great article and great thread and beginning to taint it.
I don t see a single Troll on here but it's being discussed. Stop worrying about what morons might say. The reviewers have spoken and on multiple continents. The C7 is a home run.
I too have been contemplating the next car. Have it down to 2007-8 997 911 twin turbo, MSRP $160K or the C7. Extremely low miles 911TTs are at $80K so the C7 will be less. (Life long Corvette owners wont understand an 07 997 TT vs a new car, but if you want to comment please have some knowledge or some time behind the wheel of both.
Based on the recent Euro comparisons and overall reviews its going to be a 2015 C7 as soon as my lease is up.
Honestly the most negative part of the C7 is this forum, but after my last car, after the first year I hardly read the boards unless I needed something. I guess this board will also tapper off.

The C7 is impressive, at VIR lightning lap it beat the Audi R8 V10, Jaguar F-Type R and the BMW M4. The gap with the M4 was about 7 seconds that is huge not to mention that the C7 drives the best.

You're right. I haven't talked to any 458 or Aventador owners, but two Gallardo owners that I had a chance to converse with both really liked the C7.
