I have the same problem and was going to get my people to put a bra on it.
What did you use to get the scuffs off. A waxer or what.

Thanks

I used these for my C-5's, C-6's and now for my C-7 - and, I think they are great! The one caution I have was mentioned early in the thread - they come with too much Velcro on them. So the first time I removed them, it really pulled on the carpet. I removed much of the Velcro, and now they are fine.... Also, for those who think it takes away from the appearance, I always remove them for car shows; otherwise, they remain in-place for their purpose - protecting the door sills!!

I use Adam's interior cleaner to clean scuffs off, but if they are deep, I use a magic eraser, which can actually get some of the actual marks out if the plastic has been damaged.

I had some scuff marks on the armrest and console of my C6 and a magic eraser did an amazing job of completely removing them! I'm ashamed that I have owned this car for a year and half and just got around to doing something about those marks though! Especially since the magic eraser only cost something like a dollar!

UPDATE: I removed these after three weeks of use for a couple of reasons. First, the velcro pulls the carpet fibers up when you remove the covers. Second, the edges of the sill plate covers scuff the black plastic door sill where the covers meet the plastic on the rear edge. Third, if anything gets under the covers, it is going to scuff or scratch the sill plates. These covers are well made, but are not for me.

I hear you - but why not just ask people to be careful and not drag their feet getting in the car? If they don't like that - tough. My car, my choice on "behaviors" around it. Also - I'm a manager. As such, I'm pretty used to telling people things they may not want to hear.

I do... Just because you tell someone to not do something or to do something doesn't mean they're going to follow your instructions. As a manager, haven't you discovered that yet?

Mine were done in Xpel. Can't even tell unless you look very close.

I'd rather have the Xpel product or 3m filmshield over the plates.

Nice to see the review and the product. Thanks for posting ....you saved me a few bucks.

In 7 years of Vette ownership so good so far. It's rare that anyone but me or my wife are in the car. We buy them for us.
